It’s finally happened—after several years of movies attempting to recapture the spirit of ’70s/early-’80s horror cinema, we now have one that harks back to the fright films of the ’90s. Sorority Row, officially a remake of Mark Rosman’s 1983 The House On Sorority Row (though the credits try to fudge the issue by citing its original title, Seven Sisters), feels much more akin to the snarky-mouthed slasher features that, though they only made up a small fraction of the genre output in the decade before this one, came to define it in the eyes of many fans.
Sorority Row would have fit in very comfortably alongside the likes of Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer—particularly the latter, as it too deals with bloody vengeance directed at a bunch of attractive young friends who have covered up an accidental killing. In this case,...

tweetmeme_url='http://www.beyondhollywood.com/two-clips-and-new-images-from-sorority-row-remake/'; tweetmeme_style = 'normal';; Is it wrong that I sorta dig the bitchy sorority sister? The hot blonde who has all the funny lines and is easily played by the best actress in the bunch? I know Brianna Evigan’s boring character is supposed to be our lead, and she’ll probably be the only one who survives, but for my money, you can’t beat a snarky blonde with an acid tongue. Check out two clips from the movie, including the first three minutes of “Sorority Row” that introduces the sisters, while in their undies, of course. A group of sorority sisters try to cover up the death of their house-sister after a prank gone wrong, only to be stalked by a serial killer. Starring Briana Evigan, Leah Pipes, Rumer Willis, Jamie Chung, Margo Harshman, Julian Morris, Matt O’Leary, Caroline D’Amore,...

Nubile young lasses and shower scenes belong in horror movies like Rosie O’Donnell and Barbara Walters making out in the nightmares of horny men everywhere. Here’s a Red Band clip from the “Sorority Row” remake that shows off the good stuff. And of course by good stuff I mean gratuitous tits and ass and bloody violence. The only thing missing from this clip? Co-star Jamie Chung manages to show nothing despite being in the shower for two whole minutes, while the background girls flash the goodies despite being in the clip for less than 30 seconds each. The horror, the horror. “Step it up 2: The Streets” star Briana Evigan leads the cast, which includes Leah Pipes, Rumer Willis, Jamie Chung, Margo Harshman, Julian Morris, Matt O’Leary, Caroline D’Amore, Maxx Hennard, Audrina Patridge, Carrie Fisher, and directed by Stewart Hendler. (Some) of the girls take it off September 11. Via Bloody-Disgusting.
