Host and Executive Producer Kellie Riordan is the former head of podcasts at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) and creative force behind award-winning podcasts Conversations, Ladies We Need to Talk, Unravel, The Pineapple Project, and Fierce Girls. Her production house Deadset Studios developed and produced Hooked, Hitched, and Hung Up with Britt Hockley and Laura Byrne (for iHeartPodcast Network Australia) and has produced podcast series for the University of Queensland, the Judith Neilson Institute, and PinnaFM.

With ITV Studios Australia’s The Voice moving to the Seven Network next year, that has freed up a chunk of money and gaps in the schedule for the Nine Network, which is investing in new reality brands.
At its virtual Upfront today the broadcaster revealed it’s bringing back Warner Bros. Television’s Celebrity Apprentice Australia after six years and it has commissioned Endemol Shine Australia’s Beauty and the Geek, a format which ran for six seasons on the Seven Network until 2014.
Among the other new shows, in-house concept Beach House Escape will follow 10 talented individuals as they compete to give an old home on the beachfront a complete makeover; the production company is yet to be determined.
Based on a Discovery US format, Celebrity Iou Australia will see A-listers work to a tight deadline to transform living spaces, production company to be appointed.

But Dave Hughes probably had the most honest line of the night, telling the audience: ‘Thank fuck The Voice has finished.”
But Charlie Pickering had the biggest confession, telling the audience that his dark secret since the show began is that at the end of each episode, he says goodnight, turns to his script and draws “a cock and balls”. He volunteered that it now comes so naturally, that on occasion he does it while maintaining eye contact with the night’s guest.

Michelle Bridges from The Biggest Loser Australia has revealed that she plans to host her own television show. The 41-year-old personal trainer, who has been a regular on the weight loss reality show since 2007, said that she would like to use the series as a "platform" to help more people in an Oprah-style programme. Michelle Bridges has spoken out for the first time about a sex attack that she suffered as a teenager. The personal trainer, who is best known for her role on Australian weight loss reality show The Biggest Loser, said that being assaulted when she was 18 completely changed her life. Bridges told The Australian Women's Weekly magazine that she wanted to tell all about her ordeal to help other women find strength to cope with theirs. A leading dietician has revealed her disappointment after a star from The Biggest Loser released a book with the same title as hers.
