The premiere of The Bachelor’s 18th season introduced Juan Pablo Galavis to the 27 women who will be vying for a rose and his heart over the next few months.
'The Bachelor' Recap
Opening up the show was a montage of testimonials from a number of the women. They share information about their families, their professions and what they think about the newest bachelor. “Sexy” was a favorite adjective of the ladies to describe Juan Pablo, who they all hope to get the final rose from.
Meanwhile, Juan Pablo once again is featured as the doting father that he is with his four-year-old daughter Camila. He’s also captured running shirtless on the beach, and once again, detailing what he’s looking for in his ideal woman. There to help him figure that out is former Bachelor star Sean Lowe who is set to marry the woman he picked,...

If you watched the first ten minutes of The Bachelor premiere you saw Juan Pablo Galavis shirtless — a lot. So obviously you kept watching with me, to see that his 27 finalists quickly were narrowed down to 18! That was fast . . . and not all the girls were very happy how things were going.

Time for "The Bachelor," you guys! Happy New Year to us, right?
Juan Pablo's opening montage lasts approximately five seconds before he's shirtless, but at least he's not soaping up in the shower like Sean Lowe. Remember that? It was weird.
There's some pretty sexy footage of Jp playing soccer, which he did professionally for seven years. But it all gets cuter when there's footage of him goofing around with his daughter Camila, who is named Camila Valentina because she was born on Valentine's Day. She's so cute you could eat her right up.
Plus, Camila and Juan Pablo's parents are going to live in Los Angeles with him while the first few weeks of the "Bachelor" tape, which is terrific. He keeps calling her "my chiquituri," and are they the most adorable parent/child pair to appear on this show? Very possibly.

The Bachelor is back — and this time (despite having been born in Ithaca, NY) he’s got a hot Venezuelan accent, an adorable pre-k daughter and a gluteus maximus that’ll probably yield more Google image searches in 2014 than Kim Kardashian’s and Pippa Middleton’s combined.

In case the two-hour premiere of "The Bachelor" airing Monday, "Juan-uary" 6 is not enough for you, Sunday (Jan. 5) ABC brings fans a special preview episode, which host Chris Harrison informs us is "affectionately" subtitled "Countdown to Juan Pablo." Speak for yourself, C-dawg.
The Casting Process
The montage of casting footage is kind of hilarious -- sticking your whole fist in your mouth or playing "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" on the trumpet is sure to get you picked. It's interesting that they do highlight both Sharleen (the opera singer) and Nikki (a blonde nurse), who are our two early favorites.
Gotta love the girl who really wants "charismatic" guys. As opposed to all of us other women who like boring dudes.
Harrison then informs us that this year, the show is pulling a "Big Brother" and surprising the lucky bachelorettes with a rose to tell them they're on the show.

With the new season of The Bachelor less than a month away, ABC has released new details about the 27 desperate eligible women vying for Juan Pablo Galavis‘ affections. Though the ladies come from different backgrounds, they all have one goal in common: get the rose — and get the ring!
ABC also released a few teases about what we can expect on the Jan. 6 premiere, specifically the super-weird first impressions they’ll leave on Juan Pablo:
Nikki, a stunning nurse who causes men’s hearts to flutter, presents a stethoscope to Juan Pablo so he can listen to her heart beat. Kat, an energetic and bubbly dancer, invites Juan Pablo to show off his patented sexy salsa moves.

Chicago – For a brief shining moment, it looked like the cast of 1999’s “American Pie” would be the break-out stars of the new millenium. Sadly, 13 years have passed and most of them haven’t fulfilled on their potential with a few never topping that first film, which is still a sweet, raunchy, comedy classic. Therefore, I’m sure most of the “Pie” kids were ecstatic that a fourth film, “American Reunion,” finally got off the ground, to be released on April 2nd, 2012. Before you catch up with them in a theater, catch up at home with the release of the first three films — the great “American Pie,” the decent “American Pie 2,” and the pretty-bad “American Wedding.”
American Pie
All three films have been given lavish treatment as Universal clearly thinks that the new movie is going to reignite interest in them either in a nostalgic generation or a new one.

Ben Flajnik summed it up best when he told Chris Harrison toward the end of tonight's episode of The Bachelor, "I don't really know what the hell is going on any more." Monday featured Ben Flajnik's final dates with Nikki Sterling, Lindzi Cox and Courtney Robertson before he had to pick a final two. Meaning, it was the night that Ben got to ask all three ladies to sleep over in the Fantasy Suite—which, be it in New Zealand, Tahiti or Switzerland, is just as cheesy as it sounds. All three dames said yes to the proposal in hopes of getting the proposal that they actually want. And then, Kacie B. showed up! "My heart's racing," Ben admitted when his most...

Although Ben Flajnik is a guy she'd "want to hang out with," he's definitely not someone Monica Spannbauer would like to date. The Salt Lake City dental consultant, 33, told reporters she didn't have romantic feelings towards The Bachelor - or for fellow contestant Blakeley - and explains why she thinks Ben and Courtney deserve each other. Night one, you were vocal about not being that into Ben. Did feelings emerge? I'd never seen the show so I hadn't fallen in love with him by watching last season like some girls. Remember Marissa (von Bleicken) and Hannah (Mclalwain) ? They were both eliminated as contestants in The Glee Project after placing first in the very same episode's opening challenge. They won the homework assignment (on most competition shows, a win like this confers some level of protection!) but it couldn't have mattered less.
Of course we remember Cameron (Mitchell). In his case, even the contestant himself thought he had lost—but after watching showrunner Ryan Murphy beg him to stay (to no avail), it sure felt like a win.
I think it's time we accept that the details of this particular game never really mattered. All that matters is this: Does Ryan want to put you into the cast of Glee?
The Glee Project isn't Jeopardy or The Bachelor. More than one contestant can win the prize: a meaty, custom-fit role in Glee. What's more, at this point, there's not much of...

More than 30 people flew to Breckenridge, Colo., for the party recently – including Vienna Girardi, winner of Jake Pavelka‘s season of The Bachelor; Nikki Kaapke, a castmate of Lueders’s on Jason Mesnick‘s season; and pro snowboarder Louie Vito, who...

On the "Bachelor Pad" finale on Monday night, one lucky couple won $250,000, but there was a twist. Would they split the money, or would just one of them get to keep the whole thing, or would greed cause them to lose it and have the money divided equally among their fellow contestants? Happily, neither Natalie Getz nor David Good were greedy, so they each walked away with $125,000 and the beginning of a relationship. When the "Bachelor Pad" finale began, there were three couples remaining: Tenley Molzahn and Kiptyn Locke, Elizabeth Kitt and Jesse Kovacs, and Natalie and David Good, but only two of the couples would move on to the possibility of winning $250,000. In homage to "Dancing with the Stars," which premieres next Monday, the three couples were asked to compete in a ballroom dancing contest. Tenley and Kiptyn were trained by "Dwts"' professional dancer Chelsie Hightower for the foxtrot,...

This week started off with a hefty helping of drama on Bachelor Pad. We had 11 contestants in the house -– seven women and four men -– and as we promised the contestants would happen, the time finally came when we had to level the playing field. In the world of Bachelor Pad, that meant saying goodbye to three women at the top of the show so that there would be an even number of men and women left. The panic that came over the girls was palpable as they all packed their bags and readied for the "spin the bottle" challenge.

Sorry this is going up so late, there were some DVR issues. But here we are with the "Bachelor Pad" recap.
Triple Elimination
If you missed the first 20 minutes, never fear -- the evening of the guys and girls was completely anticlimactic and boring. Instead of having some kind of competition between the remaining seven girls, they just let the guys pick. So even though they interviewed the guys and pretended like they were really hemming and hawing over their choice, it turned out exactly how you expected. Kiptyn picked Tenley, Kovacs picks Elizabeth, Jesse B. picked Peyton and Dave picked Natalie. Lame. The only interesting thing is now they are competing as couples.
Competition
Kovacs and Elizabeth are convinced the competition will be a how-you-know-your-partner type thing. And it turns out Kovacs knows a lot about Elizabeth and Elizabeth can't remember s*** about Kovacs. God, she is dumb. Sorry,...

Things obviously got very interesting very quickly this episode. You could hear a pin drop when I walked in and dropped the bomb on the cast that three girls would be going home immediately. Remember, I told them the first day we moved in that this moment would be coming. I’m not sure if they forgot, or just didn’t see it coming, but they were all caught by surprise.
One of the more interesting things for me in hosting a new show like Bachelor Pad is being able to keep the contestants guessing. All these people really thought...

Things got a little skanky on the latest 'Bachelor Pad' (Mon., 8Pm Et on ABC). And by "skanky" we mean that we've reached a "rolling around and making out on the trunk of a car" level of sluttiness. It's all courtesy of Elizabeth and Kovacs, one of our four final couples on the show. (Though by the end of the night, the number of couples would be paired down to three.)
[Spoiler alert.]
Before we even reached this point, three of the "excess" ladies were booted from the show. It came as no big surprise that they were all women who hadn't "coupled up" with a dude. So, Nikki, Gwen, and Ashley were eliminated early on. That left us with four couples -- who then had to play a game of water balloon toss to see who would win some roses and a "special date."

On Monday’s Bachelor Pad, contestants had to anonymously fill out a survey with more than 50 questions about their fellow contestants, then, in a challenge, publicly reveal what they assumed the majority of the house had answered. For each correct guess, they got a point. Only seven questions made it to air, and two of them — “Who will be a bridesmaid but never a bride?” (Natalie) and “Who has the worst boob job?” (Elizabeth) — sent women sobbing throughout the house. EW asked ABC for the full results. Below, the contestants’ consensus on 43 of the questions. (Producers opted not to share some of the answers.

We got a taste of the evening up of the men and women during Monday night's (Aug. 30) previews for next week, but now we have an extended "Bachelor Pad" sneak peek where host Chris Harrison informs the group that it's time for three women to leave.
The morning after Wes and Krisily left (presumably), the houseguests are informed that the women need to pack their bags and that Chris will be back soon to eliminate three women. The girls freak out about it and it makes us wonder if they way the women are eliminated is a competition or a vote?
It wouldn't really be fair if it was a vote -- the men would easily just keep the women they are coupled up with (Tenley, Elizabeth, Natalie and probably Peyton) and get rid of the three "outsider" girls (Gwen, Nikki and Ashley). We hope it's a competition, so that...

Misplaced trust and her outspokenness are the two things that Krisily Kennedy says were responsible for her elimination on last night's "Bachelor Pad." Now, Et speaks to the ousted bachelorette to get the lowdown on her relationship with David Good, the questionnaire competition, and more. "I did definitely have my faith in David Good," Krisily tells Et. "Something everybody didn't see is he and I did have a bond, where each week we talked about who we were voting for. So, I really trusted him. I had been nervous at every single rose ceremony. That one I felt pretty safe in and I wasn't. I was lied to." Krisily had more than just faith in David. At one point, she started to develop feelings for him, but that is all in the past now and for reasons that had nothing to do with her ousting. "I definitely lost interest in...

On "Bachelor Pad," Krisily gets played and the ugly truth comes out.
Post-Vote
Wes wants to have it out about how everybody is so fake and Dave gets in his face and since neither of them can string a coherent sentence together, it's a lot of "Or what?!" Heh. Before it gets to ridiculous, the Surveys of Truth arrive. It looks to be about 50 questions about the other houseguests. This should be an amazing competition. As Krisily says, "It's gonna get nasty."
The Nasty Truth
The idea is people guess who the majority of the house said. Each time you get it right, you get a point. First person to four points wins. We wish the win total was more, four points is not very much.
Anyway, question one is who is going to win? Most people guess Kiptyn and that's the right answer. Next is who is your biggest enemy?...

Swimsuit model Gia Allemand, 26, was sent packing after she couldn’t go through this week’s juicy challenge -- a kissing contest -- on Bachelor Pad, citing her devotion to a boyfriend at home. While declining to say if she’s now single, Allemand opened up to People about doing a dating show while in a relationship, her controversial vote against Craig and the chemistry with Wes. After being sent home by the women, Jonathan "Weatherman" Novack, 31, talked about all the "stupidity" in the house, kissing "seven or eight hot girls" and his top contenders for the $250,000 prize. --Melody Chiu...

Gia Allemand, who made it to the final three in Jake Pavelka's season of "The Bachelor," only made it to the third episode of "Bachelor Pad" before being voted out of the mansion. The professional swimsuit model talks to Et about the backstabbing and lies that led to her demise, but she also feels it is the fact that she had a boyfriend back home that made it impossible for her to go all the way and win the $250,000. "I did have a boyfriend going into this," she tells Et. "We had gotten back [together] two weeks before and we had been on and off for three years. I went into this trying to be faithful to him and to make friends and get close to everyone as much as I could." It was the very fact that she did have a boyfriend that made Gia pull out of this week's kissing challenge,...

Hi gang! A lot of you felt that last week we walked up to the line of what viewers want to see on TV with the graphic pie-eating contest. We saw messy kisses, passionate kisses and downright gross kisses. I can’t wait to hear what you all thought of it. It was interesting to see some of the girls struggle with kissing and being...

We've said after each of the first two weeks of Bachelor Pad's run that it reminds us of a ripoff Big Brother with one exception - no characters we really care about watching.
Last night showed, if nothing else, that some of the Pad participants can bring the drama - and not just because they will "kiss every guy in the house for like twenty bucks."
From the onset, Gia was upset that Nikki backed out of the plan to oust Kiptyn, while Elizabeth conspired to boot Gia next, and the Meathead Alliance plotted its next move.
Amazingly, for all the nasty competitions on Big Brother, this one took the cake - the guys and girls had to vote, blindfolded, on the best kisser, having sampled All of them.
If that sounds appealing, you must not have watched. Seven girls mauling your face (sorry, six ... Ashley has too much...

They say that love…. We’ll continue that song in just a bit. Let’s begin this week with a kiss. Who knew a simple little kissing contest would tear the world apart like it did in the house this week. Ashley is a high school teacher and felt like she would be compromising her values and letting her students down by taking part, so she pulled out of the competition. I have to go with my original feeling about it that day and say I respect the move. She felt like a hypocrite and I respect anybody for standing up for what they believe.

"Bachelor Pad" introduced two interesting facets this week -- a Kissing Contest and Fantasy Suites.
Voting Aftermath
Gia calls Nikki out in front of the entire house for flipping from Kiptyn to Craig. Gia completely blames Nikki, which is a bit rich since if she had stuck to the rose plan and not given into Country Wes-tern, Craig would still be there and "The Outsiders" would still have the numbers.
Hope Your Shots are Current
The competition this episode is a Kissing Contest. Wow. Everybody has to kiss everybody else (the kissees are blindfolded) and then they vote on the best male and best female kissers. Hilariously, everybody thinks they're going to win -- because everybody thinks they're a good kisser. Everybody always thinks that -- and it rarely proves true.
The girls are blindfolded first and Elizabeth is creepily commenting and moaning while she gets kissed. She then...

Everybody still has a chance to find love -- and to win $250,000! Host Chris Harrison and Melissa Rycroft announced the kissing competition – with each contestant receiving a serious smooch while blindfolded, tasked with choosing the best kisser of the group. A house divided! The game play has quickly kicked up a notch or two in Bachelor Pad this week. Before we dive into that hot tub I want to share some more good news with you this week. A couple weeks ago we all watched as Ali and Roberto got engaged; well, this week I learned about a couple more engagements in our Bachelor/Bachelorette family. Former Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas and former contestant Holly Durst got engaged to the Stagliano twins. DeAnna is engaged to Stephen and Holly to season five contestant Michael. From what I understand they are planning a double wedding this spring.

On the second episode of "Bachelor Pad," we find "The Outsiders" alliance compelling -- but just when Gia has our respect, she screws it up by falling for the "Love, It Don't Come Easy" guy.
Crazypants and Kovacs
Now that Michelle is gone, Elizabeth shall hitherto be known as "Crazypants." Anyway, Crazypants gets her way because Kovacs realizes he's better off with a partner (or he realizes that if he rebuffs her, she will stab him in his sleep poison the women against him) and decides to be with Cp.
She's my cherry pie ...
Oh, this show ... too many jokes. So the competition is pie-eating. Tenley told us earlier that we "may want to close our eyes" on this one -- and she was not lying. This is not sexy. This is disgusting. Tenley, to her credit since she seems like a Disney princess, does puke and rally, which is hardcore.

There was a lot of plotting and scheming going on before the first challenge on the second episode of "Bachelor Pad" on Monday night. The women already saw themselves as the "inside girls" vs. the "outside girls" and were taking measures to strengthen their alliances. "I am a little concerned coming into the house with a boyfriend," Gia (from "The Bachelor" Jake's season and one of the outside girls) said. "I think the guys are going to get rid of me." The first challenge was a pie-eating contest. The prize was a rose, which meant safety from elimination, plus, the chance for a romantic date. Even though Krisily (Charlie's season) might be in jeopardy of going home, she told host Chris Harrison that she couldn't compete because she had had her gall bladder removed and eating a whole pie wasn't an option. She felt her health was more important...

Bachelor Pad host Chris Harrison has reportedly said that eliminees Juan Barbieri and Michelle Kujawa "sealed their own fate" on the show. The pair became the first contestants to be voted off the all-star romance reality show by their fellow housemates on last night's premiere episode. Barbieri had been sharing the mansion with Nikki Kappke, who revealed that they had been romantically involved in the past, while Tenley Molzahn accused Kujawa of trapping her in a bathroom after Molzahn reportedly started a rumor that Kujawa had "hooked up" with Craig Robinson. Tenley (Jake's season) is first to arrive, and says she feels like it's time for a new beginning. She is followed by Jesse B (Ali's season) and Natalie (Jason's season), who express a mutual interest in each other.
