General Hospital spoilers tease that the saga of Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has been ongoing for several years now. After spending twenty years in a coma, Nina finally woke up to a world that had changed.
She was quite unhinged at first and did some terrible things, most notably when she cut Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) baby right out of the womb and kidnapped her.
Nina eventually got help and became more stable, although she has never really completely acclimated to her new surrounding.
General Hospital Spoilers – Nina Reeves has many Port Charles connections!
Nina had relationship with both Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) but for one reason or another, neither of those relationships worked out.
Eventually, Nina also discovered that she had twins that were delivered while she was comatose. She learned about Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) first, but Nelle died before...

Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) is a famous villain on General Hospital. She wreaked havoc on the Corinthos family for four years before her tragic “death.” But Nelle could return to play the hero.
General Hospital stars Katelyn MacMullen and Chloe Lanier I Christopher Willard/ABC via Getty Images Who is Nelle Benson on ‘General Hospital’?
Nelle debuted on General Hospital in August 2016. She comes to Port Charles as a kidney donor for Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) daughter, Joss Jacks (Eden McCoy). Nelle quickly works her way into the Corinthos family’s good graces. However, they’d soon learn she was a terror.
Nelle has some new ammunition in her war against everyone, West Coast. How will she use it?

General Hospital spoilers for next week’s episodes of the ABC soap tease that it will be one for the books.
Things in Port Charles are a mess, with the lingering question about who attacked Ava (Maura West).
The suspect list continues to grow, but no one speaks up about what they know.
There are several obvious suspects on the spectrum. However, General Hospital writers know better than to make the attacker someone so obvious as Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) or Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst).
As next week plays out, the mystery will continue. The Cassadines believe one of their own did it, but no one will come clean. Should they be worried about each other or an outside enemy?
Here’s what to expect from the people of Port Charles next week on General Hospital.

Since the 1980s the Daytime Emmys have presented awards for younger actors and actresses age 25 and under. But with only four soaps on the air and relatively few entrants into those categories, in 2019 the television academy decided to merge the categories into a single Best Young Performer award. And according to our racetrack odds, which are calculated by combining the predictions of hundreds of Gold Derby users, Olivia Rose Keegan (“Days of Our Lives”) will prevail.
Keegan is only 20-years-old, but she’s the veteran of this category. This is her third consecutive Emmy nomination, and she left the show in dramatic fashion in 2019 after her character, Claire Brady, held her aunt Ciara (Victoria Konefal) captive and tried to burn her alive … for the second time. “Days” shoots so far in advance that she had already finished filming with the show by the time she earned last year’s nomination for Best Younger Actress.

Michael E. Knight joined “General Hospital” in 2019 as attorney Martin Grey, who represented imprisoned villainess Nelle (Chloe Lanier) as she tried to win her freedom from prison, and also Franco (Roger Howarth) whose mental competence was questioned after he was implanted with the memories of Drew Cain. Now Knight is nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Best Guest Performer. And that’s actually a historic achievement. He is now the first actor ever nominated at every level over the course of his career: younger, supporting, lead and now guest acting.

Chloe Lanier (“Gh”) is the defending champ, but her four rivals this year could give her a run for her money.

Greg Rikaart is best known for his Daytime Emmy-winning role as Kevin Fisher on “The Young and the Restless,” but in 2018 he took a detour to “Days of Our Lives,” where he played con artist Leo Stark for a year. Now if he wins Best Supporting Actor he’ll be the first to take this category for playing a gay role. And he’d be the first openly gay soap actor to win any category for a gay role.

Emmys Schmemmys. Gold Derby’s forum posters have been naming their favorite daytime dramas and performances since 2003, and according to their 16th Annual Goldie Awards, “Days of Our Lives” was the best drama series of the year. But some of the best performances of 2018 aren’t in the running at the Daytime Emmys, whose nominations will be announced on March 20. Scroll down to see our posters’ complete list of winners.
“Days” has been our users’ choice for Best Drama Series more than any other soap. It has prevailed seven times. “The Young and the Restless” was our winner five times. The now defunct “One Life to Live” prevailed twice. “General Hospital” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” won once apiece. But while “Days” has a good chance of winning at the Emmys too — it’s the defending champion after all — some of the best performances from the show weren’t even pre-nominated.

Should “General Hospital” recast the presumed-dead Morgan Corinthos with a recent “Days of Our Lives” alum? Chloe Lanier exited “General Hospital” last fall, but she might not be done with the soap just yet, at least not at the Daytime Emmys. She won Best Younger Actress last year for her role as the scheming Nelle Benson, and she’s pre-nominated again for that performance. Will she win again for her conniving ways? “Gh” is the most awarded soap in this category’s history with nine victories, and Lanier would be the third from the show to win back-to-back.
Sarah Brown was the first consecutive winner for “Gh,” prevailing in 1997 and 1998 for playing Carly Benson, who turned out to be Nelle’s adoptive sister. Brown won a third Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in 2000 when she aged out of the younger category (the cutoff is 26), and she left “Gh” shortly thereafter. On January 24 the television academy announced the pre-nominees for the 2019 Daytime Emmys, and “The Young and the Restless” emerged as the top TV drama with 21 citations across seven acting categories. But for the first time the academy has also released pre-nominees in their five acting categories for digital dramas, where YouTube’s “Giants” leads the way. Scroll down to see the complete list of contenders in all 12 races.
The 21 pre-noms for “Y&R” are a big step up from last year, when the series trailed with 15 acting contenders. But it’s not an overwhelming lead. It’s followed closely by “General Hospital” with 20 contenders and “Days of Our Lives” with 19. The lone half-hour soap “The Bold and the Beautiful,” as is usually the case, has the fewest with 13.
