Christian Bale is set to make his McU debut in 2021’s Thor: Love and Thunder, but it seems like he won’t stop at just one cinematic universe. And that’s because sources close to Wgtc – the same ones who said Transformers is being rebooted and Kevin Conroy was playing Kingdom Come Batman in “Crisis,” both of which we now know to be true – have informed us that Warner Bros. is looking to make Bale a feature of the Dceu, too, and one role they have in mind for him is villainous immortal caveman Vandal Savage.
I’ve long been a fan of the character, who’s renowned as one of the most dangerous villains in the DC Universe. His origins begin 50,000 years ago when Savage was a caveman and a chance encounter with a mysterious meteorite granted him super-intelligence and immortality. Since then, he’s wreaked havoc throughout the centuries,...

There have been so many Tarzan movies made that it feels like it would be hard to get the story wrong. The Legend of Tarzan is a movie looking to be a blockbuster, and has the star power to do it. Why is it then that it never reaches the potential it tries so hard for?
When John Clayton (Alexander Skarsgård) aka Tarzan is invited to return to Africa by the Belgian King Leopold, Jane (Margot Robbie) refuses to remain in England, making it clear she too wants to return to the place she calls home. Accompanied by American George Washington Williams (Samuel L. Jackson) who wants to investigate rumours of slavery and other atrocities, they...

Over the past few years, The CW schedule has become more and more occupied by hit series based on iconic DC Comics superheroes like Green Arrow, The Flash and (starting this fall), Supergirl. Even among its peers then, Legends of Tomorrow has always been an outlier.
Originally rumored to be a spinoff centering on Brandon Routh’s fan-favorite Arrow character Ray Palmer aka The Atom, the series instead rooted itself in a motley team of supporting players from both that show and The Flash. Anchored (ostensibly) by Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter, Legends of Tomorrow has operated as the collective melting pot for the “Arrowverse” and given the shows a venue to tell stories that wouldn’t fit in an otherwise more traditional narrative. Why then is Legends of Tomorrow not more fun to watch?

The Legends team stopped Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) at the close of season one of the freshman CW superhero drama. So where do they go next? Said executive producer Marc Guggenheim, "In many ways, the season finale of season 1 set up the new mission statement for season 2. Like Rip says at the end of the season finale, there basically are no more Time Masters. We basically have to be the Time Masters.” Another clue is the addition of Hourman (Patrick J. Adams) who appeared in the finale, asking the Legends team for help. Guggenheim has also confirmed that Hourman's appearance is a precursor for the addition of the full roster of the Justice Society of America. As such, season 2 will add Steel (Nick Zano), Vixen (Maisie Richardson-Sellers )and the departure of Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller) as series regulars. Season 2 kicks off Thursday, October 13 at 8/7c on The CW.

It seems quite fitting in the age of brooding big screen vigilantes that we’d get a Tarzan movie where Tarzan doesn’t really want to be Tarzan. Fitting, but not always thrilling.
Adam Cozad and Craig Brewer’s The Legend Of Tarzan screenplay takes something of a Deadpool approach, starting later in the story (with Alexander Skarsgård’s Tarzan now living a comfortable life in England as John Clayton, before being drawn back to the Congo after rumours of slavery arrive in his ears) but periodically flashing back to his origin tale.
But while this worked for Deadpool (thanks to the anarchic voiceover holding everything together), here it falls pretty flat, with the modern day characters stopping every now and then to stare into the middle distance and relive a very specific memory in their minds. And of course these vivid...

"They speak of his power over the animals... Because his spirit came from them, he understood them." Warner Bros has unleashed one final trailer dubbed the "conquer" trailer for David Yates' The Legend of Tarzan, which hits theaters next month. We've already seen quite a few trailers for this and the more we see, the better it looks. Alexander Skarsgård stars as Tarzan, along with Margot Robbie as Jane, in this new live-action version of the classic story. The full cast includes Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, Casper Crump, John Hurt, and Djimon Hounsou. This seems like a much darker, and grittier, more action-packed take on any jungle story than we've seen before. And the VFX are looking much better. Enjoy! "He's Tarzan, you're Jane, he'll come for you." IMAX/WB has released a new trailer, making this the third official trailer (see the second one), for David Yates' The Legend of Tarzan, being released by Warner Bros on July 1st this summer. While this reminds me of Jon Favreau's wonderful The Jungle Book, it has a much darker, much more sinister feel to it, especially with the footage in this. The Greg Berlanti-produced DC television universe is about to take a new approach to its characters, spearheaded by Wentworth Miller in his role as Captain Cold. Having first breathed life into the supervillain in the series The Flash, Miller continued his portrayal as part of the regular cast of the newer show, DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow. A shake-up was required, however, and the status of Miller’s character will change to being a ‘universe regular’, no longer tethered to a specific show.

Vandal Savage does his best captive-Loki-on-the-Helicarrier impression in this week’s Legends Of Tomorrow...
This review contains spoilers
1.14 River Of Time
The idea of a villain being captured by the good guys before silver-tonguing his way into all of their heads, revealing his grand plan and finally escaping feels very familiar these days. Baddies in glass boxes is becoming something of a trope, and, in particular, the memory of Tom Hiddleston’s Loki incarcerated in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier during Joss Whedon’s 2012 triumph The Avengers looms large over this episode.
This could’ve worked very nicely for Legends Of Tomorrow if the writing, acting and directing was good enough to match up with or even surpass The Avengers. But, for my money, there was nothing here that even came close to that, or any of the other memorable baddies-in-boxes scenes we’ve seen before.

Last night’s episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, “Leviathan,” delivered a sci-fi superhero epic that lived up to the precedent set by the two-part pilot and showed what the series is truly capable of. The extended promo for next week’s all new episode, “River of Time,” looks to continue that momentum with a vengeance.
With just three episodes left this season, things are definitely heating up as the team now has Vandal Savage in their custody. They had their shot at extinguishing him last night, but Hawkgirl failed to pull the trigger, so to speak, as Savage is leveraging the mental state of the latest incarnation of Hawkman as a bargaining chip. After a handful of failures this season, it is nice to see the team achieve some measure of success, although they should have expected a 4,000 year old genius to have an ace up his sleeve.

The CW has released the promo for next week’s episode of Legends of Tomorrow, and it features Rip Hunter and his team heading into action against Vandal Savage for what looks an awful lot like their final confrontation. Obviously though, with three episodes left to go after this one, there are no doubt still plenty of other twists and turns on the way.
Possibly the most intriguing thing we see in the video above is a gigantic green robot of some sort which appears to have been dispatched by Savage to take down the Legends of Tomorrow. Some fans are already speculating that this could be Chemo, a bad guy composed of an unknown combination of experimental chemicals who possesses a unique form of psuedo-life that gives him a primitive, evil intelligence. There’s a resemblance there for sure, but it’s hard to say whether these two are one and the same.

With just a few episodes left until Legends of Tomorrow's first season concludes, the show will be dialling things up to eleven next week when Rip Hunter and his team look to Vandal Savage's daughter to help take the villain down. We get a glimpse of that here, but even more intriguing is the shot of some sort of giant robot trying to swat them out of the sky. Any theories on who or what that is? Rip (Arthur Darvill) takes the team to London in the year 2166, three months before his family is killed. The CW has released the official descriptions for the episodes of Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow which will air during the week beginning May 2nd. Surprisingly, they feature some pretty major spoilers for what’s to come, but there will no doubt still be plenty of other twists and turns before each of these show’s respective seasons are over.
Starting with Arrow though, and there’s not much in the way of spoilers or anything of much interest to be perfectly honest. If anything, this instalment sounds a tad unexciting.
As Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) look for a magical solution to defeat Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough), a vengeance-driven Diggle (David Ramsey) gets a lead on Andy’s (guest star Eugene Byrd) whereabouts and heads off to confront his brother. The CW has released the official descriptions for the episodes of Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow which will air during the week beginning April 25th.
In Arrow, it sounds like some big twists could be on the way in regards to the fate of the Black Canary. While there’s a very, Very good chance that Laurel is indeed dead, it sounds like someone else may have already taken up the mantle. Has Sara returned, or could we be looking at an Earth-2 doppelgänger?

The CW has released a fun clip from the eighth episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. The clip includes a Smallville Easter egg and amusingly takes a shot at Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con.
The episode follows the heroes as they travel back in time to the 1950s to search for Vandal Savage. When they get there they find him posing as a doctor at a hospital under the name of Curtis Knox. Knox is the name of the villain in Smallville who was played by Dean Cain. He was an immortal doctor previously meant to be Vandal Savage, but the studio wouldn't let the Smallville producers use the name.
As for the Hall H jab, while taking a tour of the hospital White Canary looks down a hallway and asks what is down there. She gets the following reply:
"Oh, that's Hall H, the restricted ward. It's for Dr.

Last night’s episode of Legends of Tomorrow shed some light on Rip Hunter’s origin story and pitted his team against a gang of space pirates, but things will take an even more unique turn in next week’s instalment of The CW series when they pay a visit to the 1950s.
Billed as the midseason finale (when the show will return hasn’t been made clear), “Night of the Hawk” looks like it’s going to play out much differently than expected, especially as this time period’s Vandal Savage has yet to come in contact with the Legends of Tomorrow.

Thanks to a brand new featurette released by The CW, we have been granted a deeper look into tonight’s episode of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, which bears the foreboding title “Marooned.”
To this point, we have seen the ragtag crew of heroes and villains journey to various time periods, but what makes this episode so special is that we will see them venture into space. You really have to love how the show fearlessly and unashamedly embraces so many comic book and science fiction elements.
As you may have guessed, the team will run into some trouble, this time in the form of time pirates. Expect an unlikely hero to emerge in the form of Professor Martin Stein. Sure, Firestorm is probably the most powerful member of the team, but it is nice to see half of its human side display great courage.

Can anyone on a superhero show stay dead? Not if The CW has anything to say about it, apparently. Although this is a bit of a stretch, a few pics posted on Instagram by actors Ciara Renee and Falk Hentschel — who play Hawkgirl and Hawkman on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow — seem to be teasing the possibility of Hentschel’s return to the time-traveling show.
Those watching know that evil Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) killed Hawkman pretty early on into the season’s run, ultimately setting Renee’s character onto a path of vengeance when it was revealed only she can truly end Savage for good. It was a predictable story, but effective, especially given how ridiculous the two look when fully decked out as their winged alter-egos.
Now, in two separate Instagram posts, it appears Hawkgirl might be reunited with her star-crossed lover. Renee’s post claims that “nothing can tear us apart,...
