Welcome to this review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly… Let’s see what went down on this week’s show!
Match #1: “Big” Bronson Reed def. Otis The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
With the ring reinforced, “Big” Bronson Reed took on Alpha Academy’s Otis in a clash of gargantuan Superstars. Reed was able to withstand Otis’ tree trunk girth, dispatching him with the Tsunami.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Tommaso Ciampa def. Ludwig Kaiser The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Tommaso Ciampa took the next step in facing Intercontinental Champion Gunther as he defeated Ludwig Kaiser. Kaiser nearly won the match, however, after he took advantage of Ciampa attacking Giovanni Vinci. But Kaiser could not get the win as the referee was distracted with Vinci’s injury. Kaiser then threw out his own teammate hoping to get the win.

With so many streaming services to choose from, finding a new show or film to discover is rarely an issue. Especially not on Netflix, the streamer that essentially started it all, and continues to churn out quality originals to add to their already-stacked catalog. Each month on Netflix introduces titles both new and old, but not every title's got a permanent home on the platform. There's also the small issue of Netflix's promotion strategy: With so many movies and shows coming and going with each passing month, there's always the chance that something truly great is going to slip through the cracks. "Blonde" is finally getting its long-awaited (and scandalously-rated) release on the streamer, but the Ana de Armas starrer is far from the only exciting development on Netflix.
Whether you're on the hunt for a soapy thriller, a star-crossed romance, or some adult animation, there's plenty to go around this month.

Dominik Garcia-Lorido may not be a household name, but she’s had a solid career nonetheless. She made her first on-screen appearance in 1995, and although that was her only acting job in the 1990s, she started to work most consistently in the early 2000s. Some of her roles have been on the smaller side, but she’s also made some significant appearances. She is probably best known for playing Mercedes Lazaro in the TV series Magic City and Mercedes Fellove in the movie The Lost City. Dominik doesn’t appear to have any projects in the works at the moment, but it

Match #1: Seth “Freakin” Rollins def. Angelo Dawkins The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
One week after Montez Ford valiantly fought The Visionary, Ford’s partner Angelo Dawkins got the chance to shut up Seth “Freakin” Rollins for good. After the match last week, Rollins tried to put Ford on the shelf wiht a post-match Stomp, but Dawkins came chase him away. Dawkins started off hot, nailing Rollins with a pounce on the outside of the ring. After Rollins mocked Ford, who was at ringside, Ford brought a steel chair to the ring, but Ford was thrown out by the official, giving Rollins an extra edge. Perhaps motivated by the ejection of Ford, Dawkins hit a Silencer on...

Brad Pitt has nothing but praise for Ana de Armas’ performance as Marilyn Monroe in Andrew Dominik’s upcoming drama “Blonde.” The Oscar winner produced the movie through his Plan B production banner after starring in Dominik’s directorial efforts “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford” and “Killing Them Softly.”
“She is phenomenal in it,” Pitt told Entertainment Tonight about de Armas’ turn as Monroe. “That’s a tough dress to fill. It was 10 years in the making. It wasn’t until we found Ana that we could get it across the finish line.”
De Armas’ casting as Marilyn Monroe has come under fire in the days since Netflix debuted an official trailer for “Blonde” at the end of July. The “Knives Out” and “Blade Runner 2049” actor is Cuban, which has left some viewers outraged over how she was cast as an American icon. De...

Match #1: Raw Women’s Championship Match – Bianca Belair def. Becky Lynch The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch have collided many times, but the animosity reached a new level as the two Superstars stared each other down with fire in their eyes before the bell. Lynch used her ring skills to avoid the power of Belair, basking in the boos as she focused on the arm of The Est of WWE. After turning the tide with a standing moonsault, Belair hunted down Big Time Becks outside the ring. Belair looked for a K.O.D. on the barricade, but Lynch landed on her feet,...

The official Marilyn Monroe Estate has come to the defense of Ana de Armas, who is playing the Hollywood icon in Andrew Dominik and Netflix’s upcoming drama “Blonde.” An official trailer for the film premiered online July 28 and left many viewers outraged over de Armas’ casting because her accent did not entirely match Monroe’s iconic breathy tone. The film is not authorized by Monroe’s estate, but the group stands by de Armas’ casting nonetheless.
“Marilyn Monroe is a singular Hollywood and pop culture icon that transcends generations and history,” said Marc Rosen, president of entertainment at Authentic Brands Group (Abg), which owns the Marilyn Monroe Estate. “Any actor that steps into that role knows they have big shoes to fill. Based on the trailer alone, it looks like Ana was a great casting choice as she captures Marilyn’s glamour, humanity and vulnerability. We can’t wait...
