In 2015 Steven C. Miller, director of horror hits such as The Aggression Scale, Under the Bed and Submerged, made a move into the action genre with the Bruce Willis-featuring Extraction. With his latest film, Marauders, he re-teams with Willis for a film that tells the story of an untraceable group of elite bank robbers execute the perfect heist, making off with millions in cash whilst leaving a dead bank manager in their wake.
The FBI Agents investigating the robbery/homicide (Meloni, Bautista and Grenier) begin to uncover signs of corruption involving the bank’s owner (Willis) and his high power clients. As they dig deeper into the case, the Feds realise that appearances can be deceiving,...

A classic film noir is getting a remake and modern update.
Silver Plane Films and Kingfisher Media announced that the production for D.O.A. Blood River will start shooting this month in Louisiana.
The noir thriller is inspired by director Rudolph Mate’s 1950 thriller D.O.A.
D.O.A Blood River will follow Sam Collins as a pharmaceutical sales rep, who visits a small town in Louisiana to close a business deal of a lifetime. Collins enters a world of sex, corruption and murder—as he is poisoned with no antidote. In a search for answers, he turns to a local girl named Jesse, in which their path leads to a voodoo priestess that confirms Sam’s fate. With nowhere to go and no others to trust, Sam and Jesse are on the run from police detectives, the Mob and a corrupt sheriff who wants him dead.

I have a love/hate relationship with Bruce Willis these days. On the one hand he stars in films I love such as the Red, G.I. Joe and The Expendables; and on the other he appears in direct to market dross like The Prince, Set-Up and Vice. Now don’t get me wrong, some of the direct to DVD titles Willis has appeared in are pretty good, Fire With Fire for example, but he’s been batting way below average on the Dtv front recently.
Extraction sees a ruthless terrorist group kidnap retired spy Leonard Turner (Bruce Willis; GI Joe: Retaliation, Die Hard, Armageddon), and threaten to unleash a...

Bruce Willis isn’t exactly on much of a roll lately. A run of slightly dodgy action roles and a surprise exit from Woody Allen’s latest, apparently for schedule reasons, have seemed to dominate his recent career. He’s sticking with action thrillers, though, signing on to star in Marauders alongside Dave Bautista and Christopher Meloni. Steven C. Miller, who just worked with Willis on Extraction, is attached to direct the film, which will also feature Lydia Hull, Tyler Olson, Christopher Rob Bowen and Danny A. Abeckaser in its cast. Michael Cody and Chris Sivertson wrote the script, which follows an FBI agent on the trail of a group of bank robbers who appear to be modern-day Robin Hoods, handing off their hauls to charity. As he digs deeper into the gang, he discovers that their actions are all tied to a trail of secrets leading to the powerful...
