Filmmakers must submit their pitch, alongside the amount of money they are applying for. Finalists will then pitch live to Allesch-Taylor’s team at the TriForce Short Film Festival on December 1 at BAFTA. Successful filmmakers will have one year to finish their film.
The financier and entrepreneur set up a £1 million short film fund in 2017 and has already funded more than 25 films from this initiative. Projects that have received backing include Victoria Hollup and Paul Agar's Gerry - which won the La Shorts Fest’s best actress award for star Joan Collins - and What Happened To Evie?, directed by Kate Cheeseman, which has won a clutch of awards, including at Galway Film Fleadh and Cannes Short Film Corner.
