New York Actor of Puerto Rican decent. Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and
Dance from CUNY Queens College in Flushing, New York. His most
formative training in theater came from Alan Fleisig and his father
Ruben Dario Cruz Sr.
As well as an actor, Ruben runs three media arts companies. Jurukan
Inc. produces two television programs in English and Spanish as well as
shorts, music videos, commercials and theatre.
Renaissance Lifestyles: Lifestyles for Seniors provides Arts & Culture
and Health & Wellness workshops for Seniors. Ruben was recognized as
New Yorker of the Week by Time Warner's NY1 for his work with Seniors.
Patty Cake Theater is a bi-lingual musical children's theater
performing in parks, schools, and community events. His bi-lingual
musical adaptation of the Wizard of Oz won the ACE award for best
lighting and A Tango for Tita won best Director, children's production.
