Rick. L. Blalock was born three months premature to a thirteen-year-old mother at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas on May 9, 1982. Due to the fact that the hospital staff expected a stillbirth because of his mother's age and other complications such as the primary physician being on vacation, Blalock was delivered by two interns. Despite the physician's wishes, a C-section wasn't performed and hence his birth necessitated the use of forceps instead. Alas, the procedure caused brain damage and thereby resulted in Rick having cerebral palsy which has left him confined to a wheelchair for the entirety of his life.
Blalock was raised by his grandparents until they divorced when he was thirteen. Rick subsequently lived with his grandmother until her death from bone and lung cancer in 2004. Blalock attended West Mesquite High School in Mesquite, Texas, where he took Advanced Placement art classes and graduated in 2000. Rick's first foray on the Internet was a pro-wrestling fan site. Blalock went on to apply his artistic talents to a website which catered to desktop wallpaper called WizardWallz.com. Rick launched his film review website Terror Hook in May, 2005 and reviewed adult movies for the website Cinema Head Cheese from 2015 to 2016 before going on to review adult films for the website Adult DVD Talk. Moreover, Blalock has not only designed graphics for both filmmaker Jeff Hayes and several Caesar and Otto movies, but also designed a band logo for singer/actress Corri English's country group Brokedown Cadillac. Rick lives with friends in Balch Springs, Texas.
