- Kevin Shaw, CSI has nearly 40 years of cutting edge experience as a colorist, workflow specialist and industry consultant. His current job titles include President of the Colorist Society, Head of Color at Mission, Instructor at International Colorist Academy and Colorist at his own company, Finalcolor. Previously Kevin has been Lead Technologist and Head of Restoration at BBC Studios and Post Production, Director of Training at daVinci Systems and a renowned colorist at post-facilities in London, Italy, Switzerland, and Thailand. Kevin introduced colorist training in the 1990s, created the daVinci Academy in 1998, co-founded the International Colorist Academy in 2009 with Warren Eagles and has provided training to Amazon, Netflix, Dolby, Kodak, BBC, Sky, CBS, The Eye Museum and many film schools around the world. Kevin is a keen advocate of ACES and HDR. In his position at Mission, Kevin oversees color managed pipelines, LUTs and grades. He wrote the daVinci 2k manuals and has written many articles on color, grading and HDR. His colorist career began in 1985 in the days of film and telecine. Since then he has worked on music videos, commercials, restoration, HETV and features all over the world.
