Tonight on The Bachelor: Jake meets the families of his final four ladies (Ali, Vienna, Corrie, and Gia) and learns more about why three of them are sweet and one of them is spoiled. (Guess who!)
Then, before the final rose ceremony, Jake is dealt a blow that will Change Everything. And by "change everything," I mean there will be no rose ceremony, because one woman drops out and the rest will join Jake in St. Lucia. So not much will change, except that Jake isn't making this decision. And maybe that's for the best.
Before we begin, check out my alternate headlines for this livethoughts article. (Clearly "Blows Ceremony" needed to win, given its poetic wordplay that rivals Shakespeare.)
Which do you like best?
Homeward Frowned [Jake will be doing a lot of that tonight.]
Homeward Drowned [Metaphorically speaking... unfortunately. Jk!]
Home Despot [Vienna reference: too harsh?]
Bringing Home the Mistaken [Mmm... bacon.]
Home is Where the Harm Is [This is simply true.]
Fly Away Home [Similar plot alert: A girl who can fly leads home some confused chicks who have lost their way and never stop quacking. Zing!]...

Corrie Adamson made it to the final five on "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love," but she got booted by Jake Pavelka just before the hometown dates. Et spoke to the ousted bachelorette on whether she could have done anything differently, how she feels about her virginity being revealed on national TV, and, of course, all the buzz about Vienna Girardi. "There is a lot of time that I spent with Jake that wasn't seen on TV, but I guess overall, no, there isn't anything I would do too differently," the 23-year-old from Birmingham, Al tells Et. "It is not my personality to go after a guy. I let them come after me, so I was just being myself in that." Monday's show was Corrie's first one-on-one date with Jake, so she says her feelings for him hadn't really developed yet -- and they hadn't even kissed. So...

Last night on The Bachelor, pilot Jake Pavelka let go of Corrie Adamson--the virgin who, despite leaving rose-less, kept her flower firmly intact--and narrowed down his quest for a wife to four finalists: Tenley Molzahn, Gia Allemand, Vienna Girardi and Ali Fedotowsky.
Next Monday, Jake will travel to each woman's hometown for a visit with her family, an adventure that is sure to take each reality-tv romance "to the next level." (Whatever that means.)
Who is leading the race to win Jake's heart, and who is on the brink of a lonely limo ride back to the airport? Which Bachelor hometown dates are poised for happiness and family bliss, and which are just disasters waiting to happen?

The Bachelor star Jake Pavelka narrowed his field of women from five to four last night, and a lot of the girls acted catty toward Vienna. Basically, same as the week before.
If you missed it and want the full rundown, here's our recap of Week Five.
But you didn't miss much. You might have been better off watching last night's Heroes ... okay, not really, that was worse, but you get the idea. Rough TV night from 9-10.
After the jump, we've got the highlights (term used loosely) with our take:
Jake is a stiff. Lighten up, man!
Tenley. She got first of three 1-on-1 dates on The Bachelor last night. She seems cute and nice. Much like Jake. We hope she wins. That's as good as last night's episode got.
Gia and Vienna. The girls all hate Vienna and we are starting to realize why. She acts like she...

We were very excited to announce that we will be televising Jason and Molly’s wedding March 8 on ABC. This will be fun for us because on top of friends and family, many of our old favorites will be back and involved in the wedding. I know that some of you have mixed emotions about this as I’ve already heard many comments on Twitter and Facebook, but this is a joyous occasion and I’m very proud to be a part of it. We have a lot to talk about this week but before we move forward I want...

On "The Bachelor" this week, Vienna got to stay while Corrie went home. The 23-year-old wardrobe consultant was the 21st girl who did not get a rose from Jake Pavelka, for a reason he only knows. In the rose ceremony, she was pitted against Vienna who has been placed as the 'villain' this season.
Corrie actually had a lot of opportunity to get to know Jake this week since she earned a one-on-one date. They went to a park and rowed boat down the lake before moving on to a science center. Unlike in the other dates that week, Jake did not kiss the girl. During dinner Corrie said she is reluctant to move in together with her boyfriend until they get married. Jake said it was not a problem to him and he respected her for that.
Vienna meanwhile was in the two-on-one date with Gia. They were taken...

Corrie gets eliminated from 'The Bachelor' season 14 episode 5. The show started off by showing clips from last week. Then it showed all the girls going on a road trip to San Francisco with Jake. After they arrived at the hotel,it was revealed that Tenley was picked to have a 1 on 1 date with Jake. She was very excited. Jake took her on a trolley ride, and then went window shopping. They eventually kissed again. Ali and Vienna argued a little bit. Also, Gia and Vienna were picked to go on a "2 on 1" date with Jake.

Vienna Girardi, one of the final five girls remaining on The Bachelor, is either the worst person ever or the subject of an ongoing smear campaign by the show's producers.
In a promo for tonight's episode, Vienna is actually described as "pure evil." Sweet, virginal Corrie, by contrast, is just "pure." Which one goes home tonight!? Hmm!
Is Vienna really the evil, manipulative bitch we've been led to believe she is? The other four girls seem to despise her, and thanks to promos like this, fans do as well.
Granted, she's kind of ditzy and annoying, but this seems a little over the top, don't you think? Are they just trying to pit fans against Vienna to stir up more drama?
We'll have to see. Tvf will have a full recap of tonight's developments up for you in the morning. Here's the ABC promo for tonight's dramatic episode of The Bachelor...

Jake, you broke the rules — now what’s going to happen?
Jake Pavelka, you shocked us by sending 4 girls home — 1 more than you were supposed to — on last week’s episode of The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love. Now we want to know how your actions will affect the outcome of the show. We know your season will now be one episode shorter than normal and that ABC has filled the final spot on March 8 with a two-hour special of Jason Mesnick (last season’s bachelor) and Molly Malaney’s wedding. But you do still have an obligation to keep the ratings as high as last week’s 12 million viewers! What are you going to do with the roses to keep us guessing about the final episode?

Jake Pavelka surprised everyone on Monday night's episode of "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love" when he sent home more women than he had to. On his two-on-one date with Ella and Kathryn, neither one of them received a rose; then at the rose ceremony, he only gave out four roses instead of five, sending home Ashleigh and Jessie. One of the most surprised to not receive a rose was Ella, a single mom, who had had a one-on-one single date with Jake and her son at Sea World a few weeks back that went really well. "I think that Jake was fantastic with my son. They really hit it off," she tells Et. "They really developed a bond because they both enjoy flying. My son wants to be a pilot. I think that bringing my son out on my first one-on one-date, as great as that was for...

"The Bachelor" host Chris Harrison explained the reason Jake Pavelka wiped out four women from his list on Monday, January 25 episode. Chris said Jake was tired of wasting time and would rather spend time with those whom he really care about in order to explore them further.
Ella and Kathryn were sent packing after spending a two-to-one date with him. "I know in my heart that neither Kathryn nor Ella was right for me," Jake said before tossing the roses to fire. Jake then asked Chris whether he could bend the rules and deny two more girls a rose from him. Given the freedom of act, Jake sent home Jessie and Ashleigh, leaving Tenley, Vienna, Gia, Corrie and Ali hopeful.

And then there were five: Ali, Tenley, Gia, Vienna and Corrie. It's really not hard to imagine why Jake kept some of these girls on The Bachelor. Jake was smitten by Ali in the first episode alone while Tenley consistently showed her sweet sunny side. Gia was just easy on the eyes and Vienna, well that's an entirely different story.

An episode of The Bachelor as painfully boring as last night's was from start to finish offers us little by the way of funny critiques, or any sort of critiques for that matter.
Nevertheless, we'll give it a shot. That is how we roll.

Normally The Bachelor star grows on us by now. Not so for Jake.
Screaming. A Bachelor staple. Normal girls do not act like this ... right?
Awkwardness. Seriously, Jake. Pull it together. Have some fun, you uptight stiff! Stop reading the cue cards and at least enjoy that airheads are throwing themselves at you.
Ganging up. This week's (and last week's) manufactured drama is that Vienna is Satan and needs to die a painful death (or...

"The Bachelor" Jake Pavelka neglected to give away two roses on Monday night's show -- and as a result sent home four women! During the episode in which Jake and the remaining nine bachelorettes hit the road for a romantic road trip up the coast, the airline pilot decided that it just wasn't working with four ladies. First up in the episode, Jake cuddled and snuggled with Gia on their one-on-one date at a California vineyard. The pair smooched during a game of spin the bottle, and at the end of the night, Jake gave the swimsuit model a rose. During a group date that started with beach dune buggy rides and ended at the famed Madonna Inn, Vienna once again ruffled the feathers of the other ladies, this time by insisting she be the last girl that Jake hung out with that night. During their one-on-one time, she explained...

A shocking Rose Ceremony is in store for the Monday, Jan. 25 episode of "The Bachelor."
In the ABC preview for Monday's episode of "The Bachelor," Jake stops in the middle of the rose ceremony and goes off to ask host Chris Harrison for some advice. The exchange is as follows:
Jake Pavelka: There's um, there's a couple of women tonight that I just... what would you do if you were in this situation and you just knew that, ya know, tonight there should only be one girl going home but if it were two... I'm definitely sure on one girl but I'm pretty sure the other girl--
Chris Harrison: What are you asking?
Jake Pavelka: Do I have to give out two more roses?
Twist!
Entertainment Tonight is reporting that Jake sends home not two women (like he's supposed to) but Four women. Gasp!

The Bachelor surprises the nine remaining women with a road trip up the picturesque California coast. Along the way, Jake will have roses at the ready on a one-on-one date, a group date and a dramatic two-on-one date, where only one woman can receive a rose. One lucky woman will snag an intimate date with Jake at a beautiful winery, but it will be up to the Bachelor to see if opposites really do attract. Six women will accompany Jake on a wild day of dune buggying, but with just one rose, the competition turns fierce. A romantic date with two anxious bachelorettes has Jake wondering if he can make a difficult choice. After an emotional first few weeks of The Bachelor--in which Rozlyn was sent home for allegedly boinking a producer, Michelle was sent home for loving Jake almost to the point of a restraining order, and "life of the party" Vienna became the arch nemesis of former nice girls Ali, Ashleigh and Corrie--you could say that Jake Pavelka deserves a couple easy weeks of carefree helicopter rides and hot-tub makeout sessions.
But whether you'd say that or not, it ain't happening. The turbulence for pilot Jake is apparently just getting started.

Horrible. Awful. On a scale of one to 10, it nears a 10."...

Let's be honest, The Bachelor star Jake Pavelka is not exactly a smooth operator. He seems like a good dude, just one completely ill-equipped to handle reality show drama.
Despite the contrived "returning for the right reasons of his own accord" nonsense to help Jillian last season, Jake always seems out of place. Week Three was no exception.
Follow the link above for a full recap of last night's super-catty action. Below, we've got some of the highlights from a drama-filled week on ABC's long-running reality show.
Jake and Jon Lovitz mull things over.
Comic genius. A Bachelor staple is plugging something completely random. Jon Lovitz's comedy club certainly fit the bill. The girls' stand-up comedy routines? Raw pain!
Going through it together. Jake and Vienna went bungee jumping to "overcome their fears as a couple." Who met last week. And who is jumping off a bridge by choice.

On another dramatic episode of "The Bachelor" one woman was sent packing by Jake Pavelka -- long before the rose ceremony! It was bachelorette Michelle who was shown the door. The office manager told the camera earlier in the episode, "I feel that there is a connection between me and Jake, and I'm ready to get married and give my mom another grandbaby, you know, she wants another one. And so now it's my turn. Everybody in my family says it my turn, so, not that I'm desperate, but I'll be there at the end, for sure!" But during the group date at a comedy club, Michelle didn't like the way Jake kissed her, telling him, "I really want to stay, Jake, I really do, I feel that we do have a connection, yet to spend this time with you and not really be able to kiss you, hurts me.

Tensions mount among the 12 remaining bachelorettes and jealousy reigns when it's revealed that there will be two special one-on-one dates - each with a rose at stake -- and a group date. One ecstatic woman hops on Jake's motorcycle and then on a helicopter for one of the most adventurous dates yet: a bungee jump off the infamous Bridge to Nowhere. Eight bachelorettes visit Jon Lovitz' popular Hollywood comedy club. But laughter turns to anxiety when they learn they each will perform a standup routine - not just for Jake, but a packed house. The Bachelor star Jake Pavelka eliminated three more women last night. Well, he eliminated two, and ABC kicked off another one. There was quite a bit of drama at the end.

As promised by host Chris Harrison last week, the scandal in the 14th season of "The Bachelor" was laid out bare on the Monday, January 11 episode. Contestant Rozlyn Papa was yanked out of the show after Chris gave her the knowledge that they are in the know about her forbidden affair with one of the "staffers".
The competition started with Chris explaining the rule of the game to the ladies. The competition steamed up on Monday night's episode of "The Bachelor" as contestant Rozlyn Papa was sent home. Rozlyn's prospects were looking good when "Bachelor" Jake Pavelka gave her the first rose of the episode after she kissed him passionately on a group date. She was so confident that at one point in the episode, she told the camera, "I don't have to worry about whether I'm going to stay or not because I have a rose, biatch." The model and mom also confessed to the camera, "I'm not usually competitive ... but I'm not usually in the position of having to fight off other women," following that up with, "If somebody gets in my way, I'll kick 'em. Hard." After an episode that included a one-on-one date between Ali and Jake (complete with a private performance by the music group Chicago), and a second group date that saw Elizabeth...

The Bachelor, Jake Pavelka, was previously characterized as sweet, but boringly flawless during his stint on The Bachelorette, and Jillian Harris sent him home for that reason.
So this is the guy who's starring on the next season?
Puzzling, yes. But now that he’s in the spotlight, producers upped the macho factor with a montage of Jake showering, flying, riding his motorbike, working in the lawn, etc.
All shirtless, of course.
Some other highlights from the 14th season premiere of The Bachelor, which aired last night, and during which Jake met 25 women and doled out roses to a very lucky 15 ...
Jake flirts with a pair of extremely intelligent, career-driven women.
Obligatory cat fights. A staple of The Bachelor. No huge spats broke out Monday night, but you know it's just a matter of time. Some of the girls even promised as much.

In the season opener of ABC's "The Bachelor," pilot Jake Pavelka chose 15 ladies to make the first cut -- and shared a kiss with one of them! In the premiere Jake said that someone to love was "the missing piece of [his] life." He noted, "Every now and then, [I'm] haunted by a little bit of loneliness," but said about finding a fiancée this season: "I just have that feeling in the pit of my stomach, this is it." Among the 25 women vying for his attention were several models, a captain in the Air National Guard, a restaurant manager, a teacher, a nanny, a hair stylist and mom who also boxes, a NBA dancer, a waitress and an office manager. The women, all vying to make a strong first impression, got extreme at the mansion.
