For his determination to be fit and healthier, Michael Ventrella has been declared the winner of "The Biggest Loser" season 9. The 30-year-old DJ from Chicago, Illinois was literally the biggest and heaviest man in the camp but he managed to downsize his weight from 526 pounds to 262 pounds. That would be a drop of 50.19% of his body weight.
As the champion, Ventrella is awarded $250,000 prize. "I am feeling proud of myself-which is a new feeling," he said upon winning. "This time I gave it my all. I did it the right way and it worked." He started the competition accompanied by his mother Maria who was eliminated in week 3.
Coming in second place was Ashley Johnston who lost 48.93% of her Body Mass Index (Bmi), narrowly followed by Daris George who lost 48.55%. Koli Palu who was also in the final was eliminated early but he received $100,000 for winning the At-Home prize. He...

Tuesday night, "The Biggest Loser" announced the final four: Ashley Johnston, Daris George, Koli Palu and Michael Ventrella, which meant that 24-year-old SunShine Hampton lost her spot on the ranch when she fell below the red line and was immediately sent packing. "It is a bummer not to make the final four," she tells Et, "but that whole week was a big week of reflection for me, seeing that I can do it at home. SunShine, who with her father O'Neal Hampton has had a tricky journey on this season's "The Biggest Loser" -- she and her dad were kicked off the ranch the first day and were only able to earn their...

It was a "Biggest Loser" temptation challenge that led to Vicky Andrews being kicked off the ranch on Tuesday night's episode. Not because she gave into temptation and ate too many calories -- she only ate one hot wing -- but because the winner of the challenge -- Koli Palu -- was given the sole vote of the night and he chose to send her home because he felt she needed to kick up her workouts. There are a lot of other things that played into his decision. I believe that he eliminated me because I was the biggest threat. He knew how hard I worked, but he had to give an explanation...
