Andrew Riley(IV)
- Actor
- Producer
- Additional Crew
Andrew Riley was born on July 24, 1991 in Roswell, Georgia, a suburb
north of Atlanta, to his parents John and Kristen Riley. Throughout his
young life, Andrew's father greatly influenced Andrew's taste in film
by screening old John Wayne and Errol Flynn classics instead of the
popular Disney animated films of the time. As Andrew grew, he gained an
appreciation of film that was uncommon for young people. Even though he
did not understand the components behind making the old films he loved
so much, he distinguished the difference between a "movie" and a
"film", a distinction most adults struggle to make today.
Riley fully realized his film-making aspirations in high school, in which he wrote his first film, "For a Brown Eyed Girl", when he was a sophomore. The completed and final draft of the film spans three drafts at thirty-four pages long. The screenplay won a Gold Key in the 2010 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards at the regional level.
After completing his first screenplay, Riley began filming shorts for his own enjoyment as well as for use by his high school. In total, he completed ten shorts throughout his junior and senior years in high school.
Riley enrolled at Elon University in North Carolina fall, 2010.
