Recently at the annual Monsterpalooza horror convention in Pasadena, Clive Barker had such sights to show attendees with a new makeup design for Pinhead that he co-created with artists Cris Alex and Stephen Imhoff Jr., and while a time lapse video and photos have already been unveiled, Barker has now revealed an additional photo of his new take on the Cenobite leader from his Hellraiser franchise.
Shared on Clive Barker's Instagram page, the new photo (courtesy of Monster Maker by Night) can be viewed below, along with the previous photos and time lapse video. The nightmare-inducing Hell Priest makeup came to life at the Ppi Premier Products and Skin Illustrator booth, with contacts provided by Eye Ink FX.
Enjoy the pleasure and pain of all of the great photos and the time lapse video below, and in case you missed it, check out release details and preview pages for...

Today I learned that it is impossible to suffocate from being painted! That's great news because I always worried when I watched videos like these that I was going to see someone die. In celebration of that, I found a video in which Cris Alex paints himself to resemble a T-800 from The Terminator! It's not the best we've seen, but it's certainly not something to scoff at!

More dangerous than even the most frustrating Rubik's cube, the Lament Configuration puzzle box serves as a gateway to infinite pain in the world of Clive Barker's Hellraiser films. Although you'd never want to tinker with it in real life, new limited edition replicas of the Lament Configuration allow fans to observe the item's beauty without worrying about accidentally summoning the Cenobites.
Priced at $450.00 apiece, the Lament Configuration replicas will be available either until January 1st or up to the point when 87 orders are placed. Below, we have official details and a look at the collectible:
From RealCliveBarker.com: "Presented as a hand-made, extremely limited edition.
This Lament Configuration is an exact replica of a puzzle box that has been part of Clive’s personal collection for over 25 years.
Painstakingly molded as one unit, cast in resin and hand painted to preserve the look and patina of the piece.

Last month, we posted 2D artwork that manipulated blue notebook-style lines to create the illusion that the art was popping off the page. Today we have a project that does the exact opposite: taking something three dimensional (a guy wearing nothing but briefs and body paint) and making it appear like 2D artwork. Makeup effects artist Cris Alex used Ppi Skin Illustrator to create the makeup for this amazing Silver Surfer cosplay photoshoot. She then photographed the model with strong light to eerily mimic the flat feel of an old school comic. Ron Lim’s art for Silver Surfer Vol. 3 #20 was used as inspiration, and I’ve included the cover below the photos for comparison.
To see some behind the scenes photos that will help you wrap your head around these photographs (or have the illusion shattered, however you wanna look at it), click here.
