Now you can return to Tomorrowland – even if you weren’t there to begin with. Edm Machine had spared no expense in sharing the highlights of Day 1 and 2 of the festival’s 2016 edition, and now they’ve uploaded a playlist of live sets from Day 3 on SoundCloud as well.
Martin Garrix, Steve Angello, Dada Life and Oliver Heldens are among the artists whose sets on Day 3 found their way onto the 12-track playlist. Ummet Ozcan, Nervo and Nastia are some of the relatively smaller acts whose performances found their way on as well, and Paul Kalkbrenner and Nastia round it out with distinctive underground appeal.
As is usually the case with Tomorrowland Belgium, however, the electronic music community will not digest the full scope of track debuts and other festival high points until weeks after the event is over. At least the live set recordings in the SoundCloud playlist above...

Electro house’s most whimsical duo have embarked on an interesting creative tangent recently. Dada Life have utilized their one-of-a-kind production style to put out techno-inspired cuts like “Red Is The Color Of Rage” as of late, but their new track, “Yellow Is The Color Of Happiness,” marks a more genuine return to their early style.
Instead of the overproduced, main stage-friendly arrangements that have characterized much of their recent material, “Yellow Is The Color Of Happiness” showcases a less-is-more sensibility sure to resonate with electronic music’s increasingly disillusioned fanbase. It still sounds like Dada Life, to be sure, but it’s distinctly less commercial.
Out of all the attempts made by contemporary Edm artists to re-sophisticate their music in 2016, Dada Life‘s may be among the more interesting. After listening to “Yellow Is The Color Of Happiness” by clicking on the SoundCloud player above, keep an eye on...

I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Avicii can’t even retire gracefully, but something about his latest controversy doesn’t quite add up. Dutch promoter Alda Events has cancelled their upcoming Swedish Journey event series after reportedly failing to receive a guarantee that the Swedish DJ/producer would be able to honor his commitments.
Swedish Journey’s original announcement billed it as an event series with a 100% Swedish talent roster. Avicii’s name appeared on the lineup alongside those of Alesso, Dada Life, John Dahlback, Steve Angello, Otto Knows and Cazzette – all of whom were to play three different cities throughout the Netherlands on July 30th.
An as-yet-unannounced surprise guest duo were also slated to perform that many speculated to be Axwell /\ Ingrosso – for what many anticipated to be Swedish House Mafia reunion seeing as how Angello himself was also booked for the event.

Insomniac doesn’t mess around when it comes to lineups. The company has consistently impressed us year after year by revealing star studded rosters for their events, all with a nice variety of genres and artists, ensuring that there’s always something for everyone.
Tonight, they continue that trend with the full lineup for Edc (Electric Daisy Carnival) Las Vegas, which was announced on the latest edition of Night Owl Radio, Insomniac’s weekly radio show. As per usual though, the names were revealed in a rather cryptic manner and while we still don’t have an official list to consult, the Edm community has taken to Reddit to start putting the pieces together.

There’s no simple roadmap for how a conglomerate of SFX Entertainment’s size goes through chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring, and trivial details were bound to fall by the wayside. In the most recent court documents that have surfaced as a result of the company’s legal proceedings, partial lineup details for three of its festivals have made their rounds on social media.
To be specific, some of the headliners for Electric Zoo, Spring Awakening and Mamby On The Beach have been revealed to the public. Artists as big as deadmau5, Hardwell, Claude VonStroke and Tchami have found their way onto the entertainment rosters for the former two events, with the likes of Hannah Wants, Chromeo and Chet Faker on the last.

Following hot on the heels of both Wynn Las Vegas and Marquee’s residency announcements is Hakkasan Las Vegas, one of the city’s premiere party destinations. Situated at the MGM Grand, the club has been a staple of Las Vegas nightlife for years now and as always, they continue to impress with their roster of top tier talent.
Made up of mostly returning DJs, the residency roster for 2016 boasts some of the biggest names in Edm, such as Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, The Chainsmokers, Above & Beyond, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki and many more. Again, it’s mostly the same lineup that we saw in 2015, but given the talent that’s involved here, we’re certainly not complaining.
The full list of Hakkasan Las Vegas‘ resident artists can be found below. Take a look and let us know what you think of their roster by dropping a comment.

There are three words synonymous with Dada Life: champagne, bananas and party. Olle Cornéer and Stefan Engblom are Sweden’s craziest DJ duo, and we mean that in the best way possible. The Dada Life dynamic is one that cannot be matched, and must be experienced to truly understand. Anyone who has stepped foot into Dada Land knows that these two are all about throwing down the wildest shows with high-energy rage music.
Dada Life have been producing and DJ’ing electro and progressive hits since 2006, and show no signs of slowing down. They have already played across the world at the biggest festivals and clubs, and have expanded their shows drastically in scale. The duo even broke a Guinness World Record for the World’s Largest Pillow Fight at one of their Compound events in 2013. There’s an interesting mix here of main stage madness, trance, trap, tropical house and dubstep, meaning that no matter where your tastes lie, you should find something to enjoy in this eclectic lineup.

Now in its sixth year, the festival is set to return to the San Manuel Amphitheater & Grounds in San Bernardino, California on March 18 and 19 “for two days of new music, dazzling art and camping under starry skies with thousands of returning fans.”
Tickets are already on sale, and now, Insomniac has dropped the massive lineup, featuring a nice alternative to what’s going on down in Miami on the very same weekend. While there is some crossover, this eclectic mix of talent is fairly different from what Ultra is presenting and should please those whose musical tastes lie outside the mainstream.

After much ado about the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs and the particularly controversial #1 entry, it appears as though the publication decided to give some exposure to its much-deserving runners up – and a significant number of dance music fans feel that the entries on this list ought to have placed on the one that preceded it. If you were anywhere near Chicago this weekend and you weren’t at Spring Awakening, chances are you heard all about it anyways. The festival has emerged as a staple among electronic music massives on a national scale, and much of Edm’s who’s who found their names on the lineup this year. Luckily for those of us that missed it, attendees recorded many of the event’s most highly anticipated sets for your enjoyment.
Live sets by Oliver Heldens, Sander Van Doorn, Flosstradamus, Dada Life and Jack Ü were captured and uploaded by a handful of SoundCloud users (our favorite of which being the mysterious “ur mom 46″ for their handle alone). The sound quality on each one is decent enough to hear most of the mixing subtleties, and even though they’re not full sets they give you an idea of what each artist brought to the table for the event.

Dada Life fans get their first chance to listen to the duo’s latest single, “One Last Night On Earth,” in full today, thanks to a week-long exclusive period on Spotify.
The track, set to be released for full download next week on June 9th, is another huge smash from Olle Cornéer and Stefan Engblom. Containing one of the most infectious Edm hooks in recent memory, it’s certain to be a mammoth favourite on the club and festival circuit this year.
A battle cry to dance floor action from the two Swedes, Olle and Stefan traverse brilliantly between the track’s ethereal, ‘hands in the air’ moments and the more fist-pumping, adrenalin-inducing sections. The pair gradually crank the tension up, giving the vocal line and full-bodied piano chords enough breathing room to lay the foundation for an increase in momentum, before exploding through into the break down in typical Dada Life fashion.

We’re bringing a massive stage production with us. It will be unique and it will get ugly, it will be everything that Dada Land stands for!”
Toby Benson, the groups manager added, “It’s the most ambitious tour we’ve ever attempted. Stefan and Olle really wanted a fully immersive environment for this tour, so we’re building the production from the walls in… everywhere you turn will be Dada Land!

Finally, all the speculation, rumors and heated arguments can come to an end, as DJ Mag has revealed their infamous Top 100 ranking list of the best DJs in the world. Despite being based on popularity rather than talent, people make a pretty deal out of this list every year, and even though it gets a lot of criticism, it’s always fun to see who comes out on top.
Taking to Twitter earlier today, DJ Mag announced the results of their poll and once again, Hardwell emerged victorious, taking the number one spot for the second year in a row. Not far behind him were all the usual suspects (Tiesto, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Avicii, Martin Garrix etc.) and overall, this list is mostly what everyone predicted from the start, as it always is.
You can check out Hardwell’s official statement on his win below:
“Wow – this is a dream that just keeps going!

Rave culture – a harmonious way of life for some, an assumed drug-fueled sex-party to others. Pounding double bass? I was a rocker for life – until I found a band called Enter Shikari. Blending dubstep beats with kick-ass metal, this was my first introduction to Edm – albeit a tiny one – and this is where it all started. If it wasn’t or Enter Shikari, I wouldn’t have been able to tolerate my roommate’s constant blasting of Tiësto and Armin Van Buren, and he certainly wouldn’t have gotten me to an Andrew Rayel show. Six hours of trancing, jumping, rave-gloving, and waving my hands like I just didn’t care, and now Knife Party is a constant music obsession,...

His career is heating up as of late, and Miles Teller treated himself to a rock star birthday celebration in Las Vegas over the weekend.
The “That Awkward Moment” hunk turned 27 last week and on Saturday (February 22) he showed up at Hakkasan Las Vegas Nightclub at the MGM Grand.
Miles was given a snazzy blue cake with the “Fantastic Four” emblem (he’s starring in the reboot) while pals Anna Kendrick and Theo James looked on.
Meanwhile, Swedish progressive house musicians Dada Life played a set in Teller’s honor as they all danced into the wee hours.
