Attack The Block Blu-RaySony Home Entertainment2011/Rated R/Running Time 88 minsList Price: $35.99 -- Available October 25, 2011John Carpenter once said that when a filmmaker has limited resources, the more creative they are. In an age where most films that stand a chance of making an impact at the box-office have already been backed by millions upon millions of dollars, its rare to see low budget features at all, let alone a good one. It remains to be seen whether or not Joe Cornish's Attack the Block will make an impact at the box-office, but it definitely has the makings of a cult classic. His incredibly funny, exciting and inspiring action-horror-comedy features a simple story with performances that go above and beyond most big budget f/x pictures. At times one can feel the budget restraints of the production, yet they are not flaws, just enjoyable quirks that work surprisingly well in service of the experience.

From the producers of Shaun Of The Dead and Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World comes Attack The Block, a fast funny, frightening action adventure movie that pits a teen gang against an invasion of savage alien monsters. It turns a London tower block into a fortress under siege, and weapon wielding teenage thugs into heroes. It's inner city versus outer space
Not to be missed!!!

Pictured above is the first still from the feature which is now in post-production. The film's official synopsis:
An attractive young woman (Jodie Whittaker) walks home through dark, dangerous streets in south London. She falls into an ambush. Five ghoulish, hooded youths surround her— they take her mobile, her purse, her engagement ring, but they want more. Just then, a fireball explodes out of the sky and destroys a nearby parked car.
From the wreckage emerges a vicious little alien that the youths hunt down, kill and triumphantly parade back to their block. But their adventure is not over. The night is still young and the attack on the block has only just begun…...
