Damian Dudkiewicz is a Polish actor, physical performer and mime artist
based in London. His life has for the past 10 years revolved around the
theatre, film and movement to evolve a style that encompasses Eastern
European physical comedy, mime, clowning, modern dance, Butoh and
traditional dramatic theatre.
His artistic path began in Wroclaw, Poland with the Contemporary Mime
Theatre and the Wroclaw Mime Theatre, founded by Henryk Tomaszewski. He
has also taken part in international projects including Instant Act -
Against Racism and Violence in Berlin organized by Interkunst, as well
as international theatre festivals in Europe. He co-founded the mime
cabaret and physical comedy duo Antidotum with Anka Williams. As a
physical actor Damian has performed in Poland, Germany, Italy and Great
Britain.
Damian has been living and working in London since 2008, appearing in
the English National Opera production of The Damnation of Faust,
directed by Terry Gilliam, and in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's
Dream and The Tempest at the Rose Theatre Bankside. He has also acted
in a number of short films and as Igor in the television series
Whitechapel.
