Andrea Ferraz(I)

Andrea Ferraz is a Brazilian actress/singer/songwriter who started her
performing career as an Opera singer and classical stage actress. She
acquired an MFA in Theatre Arts from the Professional Theatre Training
Program (PTTP) and has played numerous theatrical leading roles in the
US and abroad. In 1999 Andrea won the "Best actress of
the festival" award from Kennedy Center's ACTF for her performance in
Chekhov's Uncle Vanya. Ferraz has worked with world-renowned theatre
directors such as Adrian Hall and Tadashi Suzuki in Japan. Some of
Ferraz's film credits include 'Conversations with God' and the
Fox/Disney animation movie 'RlO', directed by Carlos Saldanha. Ferraz
formed the band called 'D'AGUA' in 2007, featuring original
compositions and bringing us her mixture of Samba, Forro; and Bossa
Nova fused with eccentric beats. You may have already heard it on
89.9fm KCRW or on 90.7fm KPFK or listened to D'AGUA's hit song 'Porque'
on the FX TV show Damages, with Glen Close.
