Multiple million-dollar Rnc donors have urged the party to push out current nominee Donald Trump in the wake of continued controversy surrounding the businessman’s past, The New York Times and other outlets reported Thursday.
Among the top donors who pushed for the committee to ditch Trump were Missouri business executive David Humphreys and New York investor and philanthropist Bruce Kovner.
“At some point, you have to look in the mirror and recognize that you cannot possibly justify support for Trump to your children — especially your daughters,” said Humphreys, who alone has contributed over $2.5 million to the Gop from 2012 through the spring of this year.
