Sara Longoria, the last eliminated contestant on "America's Next Top Model" would like to make something very clear. She doesn't believe she has to choose between modeling and her feminist politics and she's totally up for the job.
"Coupled with some clever editing and the voiceover talking about how embarrassed I might be later when my fem-core friends saw this makes me seem like I let my politics get in the way of modeling," Sara, 18, tells Zap2it. "On the one hand, even me bringing it up was extremely unprofessional. Models should be able to take any job and do any job regardless of what she believes personally."
So, what happened with the Edinburg, Texas student? We tried to figure that out in five questions:
You and Alexandria had a disagreement over moving to New York City to pursue modeling after the competition is over. How did that come about?...

I gave Sara a bit of a hard time this week in my America's Next Top Model recap, but I actually really liked her on the show. She spoke eloquently, handled Tyra's extreme challenges with a mix of rational terror and good humor, and took her elimination even more gracefully.
And I liked her even more when I spoke to her yesterday, the day after her elimination episode had aired, for a few reasons: She spoke highly and maturely of the other girls, including Alexandria, had a good sense of humor about everything Tyra had put her through, and she told me she was on her way out the door to celebrate St. Patrick's Day on the beach. My kinda girl!
Check out what Sara had to say about the competition, the coffee commercial, being a Top Model feminist and more:...

So, she may be going to Harvard, but Tyra Banks isn't the quickest study. This week on "America's Next Top Model," a second guest judge gave a less than glowing report of Alexandria on-set and Tyra finally realized sanctions must be placed on the Orange County-sized ego.
Before that, she sent Miss J. to do her dirty work in this week's first challenge. Continuing this season's ridiculously made for TV challenges, she sent the girls down a fiery runway. No one literally crashed and burned, but that would've made for one hell of a promo tease.
Dalya, who proclaimed herself the strongest walker, actually made good on her word. By the way, did we mention this episode's theme is confidence?
Hannah, Sarah, and Kasia, the three worst runway walkers, had to hoof it home as their punishment. Overall, this season has some pretty strong walkers, right? Every season has the wobblers,...

['America's Next Top Model' - 'Francesco Carrozzini']
This week on 'America's Next Top Model' the girls walked in a Gregory Mac fashion show on a runway that was on fire! Ok, the actual runway wasn't completely on fire, but there were flames everywhere. To make matters that much more ridiculous, the models had to wear gloves that were then set on fire!
Color me clueless, but there's no way I would walk down a runway with my hands on fire; fire resistant gloves or not. Some of the models nailed it, while other's not so much, but it was Dalya who stood out in Ms. Jay's mind and she won two awesome Geoffrey Mac dresses. But, Hannah, Kasia, and Sara didn't do so hot and in a random twist were forced to walk home as punishment!

I’d like to start off this review over Wednesday’s fantastic episode of Top Model with a moment of silence for Alexandria’s dearly departed roots.
...
Okay, are you guys ready to soldier on?
Apparently Top Model has up and decided to become a pretty legit modeling competition because “Lori Goldstein” packed everything I love about the show into a fun hour of television. It was makeovers galore and while there wasn’t an ice blonde or nervous breakdown in sight, it was nice to really see who’ll be in the running for the rest of the season. The best makeovers (courtesy of Laurent D.) were Brittani’s Dutch Boy (at first it looked a little wiggy but it read beautifully elsewhere), Jaclyn’s grown-up Selena Gomez bed of curls, and the discovery that Hannah is actually Blake Lively (yowza!), with Dominique’s Rihanna inspired weave also significantly improving her appearance.

The girls return home from panel to discover that it's makeover week on America's Next Top Model! Everyone is slightly nervous about what look Tyra has in store for them, after finding a list of possible hair styles waiting for them at the house, including 'manly and spiked', 'kinky, red and wild' and 'big, gurly and curly'. The day of the makeover looms and everybody has mixed feelings as they take their turn in the hair stylist's chair. Brittani is thrilled with her short black bob with heavy bangs, while Jaclyn is pleased to just have her natural curls enhanced even more (although Miss J teases that he might take a razor to her locks). Monique has a few hair extensions added, while Sara has her "rat tail" chopped off and her prediction of short dark spikes comes true. She later says that she knows it makes the best of...

Hindsight is 20/20.
It’s the second week in a row that Antm has mentioned John Galliano. Obviously, it was filmed before the Galliano fallout, but still, I’m surprised producers haven’t cut offending remarks about praise to him. In actual show news, the girls finally meltdown at their impending makeover doom, and inevitable drama ensues! Let’s break it down.
The Makeover:
It’s makeover time... dum dum dum! The girls get an extra dose of anxiety when Tyra sends them a little preview of the makeovers they will be getting without specifying who will be subjected to which makeover. The girls freak out over “manly” and “short Dutch boy” and, really, who wants to be a short Dutch (female) boy?
Brittany does! And she looks fabulous, too! Miss J freaks out over poor, sweet Jaclyn by threatening her with a razor, although she takes it in stride. Psyche!

We're bothered with "America's Next Top Model" right now. You'd think after the past 15 cycles, we would have learned that in modeling, as in life, things aren't always fair. And good things happen to bad people and vice versa. But, we're not sure tonight's judging results should serve as a lesson for anyone.
If Tyra Banks hopes to create successful models who are also role models for girls, then she failed this week.
First of all, Alexandria makes our blood boil. In this episode, she terrorized the whole house, spoke to the makeover stylists like they work for her and she's all around a horrible person to be around with when she isn't happy. Hell, she's pretty much horrible to be around with when she's happy. In fact, we think there's a reason guest judge, stylist Lori Goldstein, made it a point to bring up Alexandria's diva attitude during the shoot several times.

For many of us, we despise when a contestant leaves a reality show of their own accord - mainly because we feel that they took the spot from someone who would have made the most of the competition and really wanted it. But, on the last episode, of "America's Next Top Model," Ondrei gets a pass from us.
She left after the emotions of losing two brothers unexpectedly - one from an accident, the other murdered - were too much to handle and we're surprised she made it as long as she did. Now, the 19-year-old tells us that time has helped and she's doing much better, as well as looking forward to continuing her modeling career.
Zap2it asked the young Atlanta native five questions about her decision to leave and more:
1.) What was your reaction to the drama in the kitchen?I was pretty much thinking for me...

Tonight's season premiere of America's Next Top Model opens with a very funny sequence featuring Tyra spoofing various stereotypical contestants (check out the video here), before telling us that she's going to pull an Ashton Kutcher and "punk" this cycle's new batch of hopefuls. The plan is to tell the girls they haven't made it to the next round before revealing that they actually have. "We felt it was time to get real," says Tyra. "The first order of business is rejection." But before that happens, we're introduced to the 14 models who will be battling for the coveted prizes this cycle. They are (in Tyra's words): freckle-faced Dominique, fiercely-real Kasia, petit Ondrei, feisty blonde Alexandria, sexy mama Monique, elegant Nicole, quirky Sara, hippy Hannah, golden-haired Molly, baby-faced Jaclyn, Brittani from the (more)...

We poked a little fun at Tyra Banks when she released the intro to Wednesday's (Feb. 23) premiere of "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 16 and told us the show wouldn't be what we expected.
After watching the episode, we'd have to say Tyra still has some tricks up her sleeve. There's something very energetic and new about this cycle. And that's not to say what we love (and expect) from the show isn't there. It just feels like there's a fresh energy about it. And as Tyra says, get ready to see the "biggest swerve 'Top Model' has ever taken." Not only does she start modeling school early in the premiere, but the show holds one of the most challenging, though visually spectacular runway challenges of the series.
As for the girls? They're a pretty impressive bunch. There's a lot of diversity in looks and personalities. And while we're usually used...

Do you know what made us "smize" this morning? The CW released a first look photo of the new cast for "America's Next Top Model" Cycle 16! The series returns Wednesday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. Et.
Pictured above, from left: Dominique, Kasia, Brittani, Monique, Mikaela, Angelia, Hannah, Dalya, Nicole, Sara, Alexandria, Ondrei, Jaclyn and Molly.
On first look, it's a pretty diverse group. We noticed that most of the models are 23 or younger. But, there is a 26-year-old in the bunch: Kasia. Get ready to hear the "this is my last chance" stories.
The fourteen women will compete once again for the "high fashion" package of a contract with Img Models, a fashion spread in Vogue Italia and a spread and cover of Beauty in Vogue, plus a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl Cosmetics.

California native and fulltime mom, 21-year old Sara Blackamore, already had a strike against her when she entered "America's Next Top Model." She was marked for imminent death in the competition. She was too "commercial."
Of course, host Tyra Banks, loves a challenge and tried to toughen her up with a dark makeover. In the end, the brunette hair and strange bleached eyebrows didn't extend her life on the competition. And as Tyra said herself when she dismissed the fallen angel, "You didn't even give us editorial. You gave us dead-itorial." Ouch (and giggle).
1) It seemed like your biggest regret was leaving your son.I felt guilty at the time just because I had so many emotions running through me. When I got home and everything, I didn't feel guilty anymore and I knew that it was the right thing for me to do. Just at that moment, I felt...

Poor 24-year old Terra White may have earned herself the nickname, "Tear-a," for crying so much during her short stint on "America's Next Top Model." One of the girls we thought would be very strong, Terra surprised us when it seemed as if she buckled under the pressure very easily and especially while her younger sister, Chris, seemed to excel.
Then, of course, she got the "Ty-Over" from hell and then there was a surprise elimination -- which we think was a test to see if she could hang in this competition. Poor thing couldn't and she was eliminated.
1) It was so early and we thought you where one of the stronger girls going in, how surprised where you at how difficult the competition was?I really can't say how difficult it was, because I was only there two different photo shoots and a runway challenge. But from just those...

Despite having undergone the most drastic makeover in the bunch, Sara Blackamore, a full-time mother from Menifee, California, was the second America's Next Top Model contestant booted from the competition last night.
But it wasn't her darker locks and lighter brows that did Sara in: Instead it was a challenging photo shoot inspired by fallen angels. Instead of looking heavenly, most of the models appeared uncomfortable and confused, leading Tyra to proclaim the shoot "almost" an all-out failure. Unfortunately for Sara, her performance was deemed the worst among the bunch, and she was sent home.
