- Born in Hartford CT, Paul Sigrist is a long-time professional actor, singer, director and instructor based in New York City, equally comfortable on screen or on stage and specializing in comic roles. He has performed on tour extensively throughout the United States, as well as Canada and England. He was a member of a seven actor cast nominated for a Drama Desk Award. - After being cast as real life Grateful Dead keyboardist Brent Mydland in "The Music Never Stopped," Paul Sigrist studied countless videos of Brent Mydland in performance to replicate Mydland's distinctive high-shouldered style of keyboard playing. For the Grateful Dead concert scene, a yak fur beard was painstakingly applied over Sigrist's own beard to recreate Mydland's much fuller beard, circa 1986.
