While working on "La Ruee Vers L'Or" Simon Paine and the crew walked over 1200km's through the mountains of Alaska and Yukon. The show took three months to shoot and the crew traveled through the wilderness of Alaska, British Columbia and the Yukon. They hiked for a month on the Chilkoot Trail, floated down the Yukon River from Lake Bennett to Dawson City for another month and followed the cast as they panned for gold on the historic El Doarado creek just out side Dawson City, Yukon, Canada.
