Eric arrived in Los Angeles from Shanghai, China to pursue a PhD in Neuroscience/Neurobiology when his film making "hobby" turned into demand for his creative editing services. He teamed up with writer/director Scott Eriksson and in 2010 and 2011 completed 7 short films, had screenings at prestigious film festival, and won multiple awards with all of the films.
At the end of 2011, Eric then made the bold decision to apply to USC Cinematic Arts and was accepted into the production MFA program and was accepted on his first application. During this time he become a well-rounded, in-demand filmmaker with a primary focus on his greatest strength, cinematography and had been involved in more than 30 films by the time he graduated in 2016.
