Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have released their original score for Luca Guadagnino’s film Challengers.
The score arrives two weeks after Reznor and Ross released Challengers [Mixed], which saw DJ and producer Boys Noize their original compositions from the film and remix them into one continuous, club-ready set. Now, coinciding with the release of Challengers, Reznor and Ross have shared the original score in full.
Starring Zendaya, Josh O’Connor, and Mike Faist, Challengers takes place in the dramatic arena of competitive tennis, and features a love-and-sporting triangle between the three leads. At the center of the film is Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ buzzing, techno-forward score; in her review of the film, Senior Entertainment Editor Liz Shannon Miller lauded their compositions, describing the score as “bringing a level of bombast to the sports action that at times threatens to overwhelm the action, without ever actually proving distracting.”

The largest Halloween fest in North America hit San Bernardino over this past weekend, as Escape: Psycho Circus took over the Nos Events Center for two nights of music and mayhem. With 125,000 people in attendance during the course of two nights, Escape hosted over 50 performers on four stages during the 2017 event to create one of the biggest Halloween parties from the team at Insomniac.
Friday night saw powerhouse acts like DJ Snake, Flosstradamus, Nero, Marshmello, Rezz, and Datsik play to packed crowds on the three main outdoor stages, while the likes of Green Velvet, Joseph Capriati, and Jamie Jones held things down at the Chopping Block Warehouse. On Saturday, the Nos Events Center had to be at capacity (there were thousands of people everywhere), while attendees enjoyed shows from Tiësto, Afrojack, Duke Dumont, Zedd, Eric Prydz, Slushii, Nicole Moudaber, Chris Lieber, and Boys Noize playing an unprecedented live set, complete...

Boys Noize is giving 2016 an epic sendoff with the release of a new recap video this week that commemorates one of his biggest years to date. To make the video that much more memorable, the German DJ has included some fresh remixes taken from the upcoming Mayday Remixxx album.
The clip starts off with some behind the scenes shots of the live setup fans have become familiar with on the Mayday tour. Over the course of three minutes, the recap video relives some of Boys Noize’s most notable performances from the last twelve months. For many fans, though, the soundtrack will be the real draw as we get our first taste of the forthcoming remix collection. We get a new rendition of “Euphoria” courtesy of Boys Noize and Mxm, as well as a thumping reprise of “Starchild.”

Anticipation for 2017’s major festivals is at an all time high, with Coachella‘s lineup serving as the holy grail of the entire season. We’ve already heard some rumors about the alleged headliners, while DJ Khaled inadvertently spilled the beans on his slot at the festival. Now we have another enticing update to ponder with a list that attempts to predict the entire lineup.
A website called TravelGrom has consistently made predictions about Coachella lineups in the past with a high degree of accuracy compared to the average rumor, and they’ve just offered up their projections for 2017. While the information is just conjecture at this point, TravelGrom predicted last year’s lineup with 64% accuracy. If that figure holds true again, over half of the list will wind up on the official lineup.
The alleged lineup includes a diverse array of styles, with representation from Edm, Rock, Rap, Pop and everything in between.

Despite some rocky happenings at Hard Summer, including the fatalities of three ticket holders and reports of gross negligence on the part of the organizers, the 2016 edition to the major festival has been regarded as one of the more notable stateside dance music events of the year. Now, Hard Summer is once again grabbing our attention with the release of the official recap video for its latest shindig.
Set to a raucous soundtrack of Boys Noize’s “Overthrow” and Valentino Khan’s “Catching Plays” with Wax Motif, the Hard Summer 2016 recap video is an indulgent memento to the two days of music and wild antics that went down at the Auto Club Speedway in Souther California earlier in the summer.
All the usual aftermovie fare is sprinkled throughout the clip, with plenty of footage of the truly massive crowds, impressive light displays and notable DJs like Slushii, Anna Lunoe, Skrillex,...

During his set at Hard Summer, German producer Boys Noize dropped an ID that was widely speculated to be new material from his collaborative project Dog Blood with Skrillex. However, in a recent Reddit Ama, he revealed some details regarding the ID and why the Dog Blood project has seen relatively few releases over the years.
Boys Noize reveals that touring conflicts have made it difficult to work on music with Skrillex, elaborating that “it’s important to be in the room with the people I make music with, moments happen that would def not happen if you send stuff back and forth.” He also states that his solo music has taken precedence over collaborative efforts.
Thankfully, Boys Noize does leave some hope for a future Dog Blood release, revealing that he and Skrillex have been working on a remix of his track “Midnight” from the Mayday album, which is...

Skrillex and Boys Noize‘s Dog Blood side project quickly became a fan favorite after it was unveiled in 2012, but in the four years since there’s been relatively little material that surfaced from the moniker. With just a few EPs and select live dates, fans have largely been holding their breath waiting for new releases from Dog Blood.
Thankfully, Boys Noize treated the crowds at Hard Summer to an unreleased ID in the style of Dog Blood, and a video of the performance has hit YouTube. The ID features an ominous melody that repeats throughout, with breakbeat style drums and spastic synth stabs. It’s an energetic dance number and the crowd really seems to eat it up.
While it’s possible that the unreleased track is a solo Boys Noize effort, when compared to classic Dog Blood tunes it seems pretty likely that we’re dealing with another collab co-produced with Skrillex.

Fans of four-four can rejoice in the knowledge that Holy Ship! has kept them in mind while curating its lineups. The cruise ship festival’s organizers have made roster announcements for its 2017 sailings this week that favor house music artists to a noticeable degree.
Tchami, Duke Dumont, Boys Noize, Claude VonStroke and Maya Jane Coles are but a few of the household names in house music that account for a substantial chunk of each sailing’s lineup. With minor exceptions like Marshmello and GRiZ, each flyer indicates that Insomniac Events isn’t the only promoter hoping to keep its events from looking and sounding like every other one on the market.
The first Holy Ship! sailing of 2017 will take place from January 6th-10th, and the second will run from the 10th-14th. After looking over both lineup announcements below, visit the comments section and let us know what you...

“Overthrow” is German electro house/techno producer Boys Noize‘s first original track of 2016, and it’s just received a particularly gritty music video. The exploits of two rival gangs are captured in stark, black-and-white video clips which effectively accompany the latent aggression in the track’s production style.
Rumor has it that actual Los Angeles gang members were enlisted for the shoot – although considering the source, it’s hard to know what to believe. Entertainer Lil Internet, who has collaborated with Boys Noize on previous videos, made the following remarks:
There’s often more truth in contradictions than there are in one’s expectations. Some of the guys in this video really do span both of these backgrounds… I heard incredible stories. Don’t want to give it away, but this video is actually very real. Also I accidentally left the gun next to a dumpster behind the club.

Returning to Miami Music Week this year for what’s sure to be another epic outing is Hard Miami. Set to take place on Friday, March 18th, the organizers have released the lineup today, and though it features all of the usual suspects, that doesn’t mean it isn’t absolutely stacked with exciting talent.
Taking place across two different rooms, Hard Miami will boast sets from Boys Noize, Jauz, What So Not, AC Slater, Destructo, Wax Motif and more. Again, it’s basically all of the artists you’d expect to see at a Hard event, but if this is your scene, then you’re definitely in for a treat.
Check out the full Hard Miami lineup below and be sure to grab tickets on the official website if you’re interested in attending.

Why is it that every one of Skrillex’s collaborations other than the Jack Ü project still manages to turn out quality music? He and bass house poster child Jauz teamed up on a track recently that the latter artist debuted at Summer Set Music & Camping Festival in Wisconsin over the weekend that you owe it to yourself to check out.
But first, can we address that a ton of tracks labeled bass house are breakbeat driven? The syncopated percussion in this ID – which many are speculating is titled “Drunk Squad” and features verses by rapper Fatman Scoop – is similar to the releases of breaks artists like Stanton Warriors or Evil Nine, but for whatever reason it’s being lumped into the house category while the breaks genre continues to languish. The only element that makes it sound like bass house is the Lfo loop wobble, but when you get...

For those of you who don’t know, Dog Blood is the joint music project between bass music icon Skrillex and techno mastermind Boys Noize. The duo recently performed at Hard Red Rocks outside Denver, Colorado, and debuted a new ID during their face-melting set at the picturesque amphitheater.
Staying true to the characteristic electro-meets-techno style of the outfit, the track is largely driven by heavy percussive elements. Visceral synth stabs and a pitch-shifted vocal sample round out the arrangement, which must have made the occasion that much more worthwhile for attendees who got to hear it played from the speakers of the acoustically flawless natural amphitheater.
We’ve told you before that we find Dog Blood to be a superior Skrillex collaboration to Jack Ü, but just how well their set at Hard Red Rocks was received suggests that we’re not in the minority. Hopefully this release will...

After a massive showing at Coachella this month, German electro house and techno producer Boys Noize rocked New York's Webster Hall this past weekend before settling into a more private role for the remainder of his week in the city: Alexander Ridha is producing Mc Spank Rock's next album.
For the unaware, Boys Noize is a staple of the global dance-music touring circuit, a sophisticated, analog-happy producer who founded Boysnoize Records back in 2005. Lately, his thumping brand of sledgehammer productions have garnered him industry accolades, winning dance/electronica Independent Music Awards. And even Beatport.com has named him Best Electronic Artist three years in a row.
Ridha's project with Spank Rock isn't Boys Noize's first foray into album production. In fact, last year he co-wrote and produced Chilly Gonzales' album Ivory Tower.
