Atlanta native Mela Rayne currently holds several hats within the
industry, splitting time between screen writing, producing and working
heavily in Locations for both TV and feature film projects.
In her early career she worked with several local independent directors
and actors/actresses to create some of Atlanta's most renowned and
memorable small budget projects in the southeast, having several
projects run the U.S. film festival circuit, including nominations at
the Long Island Film Expo, Alexandria Film Festival, IFFCA Los Angeles
Film Festival and the Louisville International Festival of Film to name
a few.
Rayne is currently working in locations in both the TV and feature film
arena, handling location's scouting, set/stage management,
multi-faceted coordination responsibilities. Rayne works closely with
local neighborhoods and government entities to help assure filming is
not only seamless for the producer's, but also the residents and
businesses around filming locations, with an ultimate goal of creating
an optimized, but enjoyable, experience for all involved.
