Die Rtl+-Serie „Ich bin Dagobert“ von Zeitsprung Pictures hat am Mittwochabend das Seriencamp Festival in Köln als Weltpremiere eröffnet. Zur glamourösen Auftaktgala war im Cinenova Kino viel Prominenz vor Ort, insbesondere das Team um Friedrich Mücke, Sonja Gerhardt, den Zeitsprung-Pictures-Produzenten Michael Souvignier und Till Derenbach sowie dem realen Vorbild Arno Funke, der in den 1980er- und 1990er-Jahren die Polizei mit seinen Kaufhauserpressungen in Atem hielt.

The musical format, which is based on Jimmy Fallon’s popular segment-turned-spinoff, marks the sixth international version of the NBCUniversal Formats title, with the new adaptation set for German public broadcaster Rtl’s streaming service Rtl+. Germany is a major market in the world of international unscripted formats, and a crucial pitstop for most TV distributors.
The new show will see musicians and brothers Bill and Tom Kaulitz host the series. Best known for their band Tokio Hotel, Bill Kaulitz is the lead singer while Tom Kaulitz is the band’s guitarist.
“That’s My Jam mit Bill & Tom Kaulitz” is produced by Seo Entertainment on behalf of Rtl+ in collaboration with Universal Television Alternative Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group.

Deutschland 83 commissioner Philipp Steffens is to leave German broadcaster Rtl as it merges its broadcast and streaming drama units.
Steffens, who was head of fiction at the commercial broadcaster since 2014, is departing to move back into production.
He will be replaced by Frauke Neeb and Hauke Bartel, who will now be responsible for all drama programming across the group. This comes after Rtl brought together its drama divisions for its linear TV channels and streaming platform TV Now. Neeb has been fiction editor at Rtl network Vox since January 2018, while Bartel has been head of fiction at Vox since April 2017.
The pair will report to Rtl Managing Director Jörg Graf and Vox Managing Director Sascha Schwingel.
