Manuel Gilberto was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He has 1 older
brother, Hector (Ñequin) Santiago, and his parents are Awilda and
Hector Santiago.
Manuel, known to his friends and family as "Nolo" or Manolo, starts his
career on Puerto Rico at the age of 22. Before Manuel became a Director
and Producer, He was involved in banking and mechanic, none of which he
held a passion for.
In the spring of 2004, he start to work on films with the Puertorrican
director, Luis Molina Casanovas working as a camera operator for few
years. On 2008, Molina decides to produce a documentary film for Spain
television named "Las Fiestas De la Calle". Lately this year he founded
Vertiquo Films Corp. On 2011, Spain writer Carlos Exteba offered Manuel
to direct a film "Dracula Dies for Us (2011)" based on his play, the
film was produce by Angel Sanjurjo Delgado. On 2012, Angel Sanjurjo
Delgado was a screenwriter working for Vertiquo Films Corp, who write
the short film "UnderRain (2012)". The film was produce by Vertiquo
Films Corp.
