Michael Viruet is a Chicago native who made his way to the west coast
in 2008. Since living in the Los Angeles area, Viruet has completed his
undergraduate degree in theater from the University of California
Northridge, paying his bills by appearing in numerous commercials.
Viruet found his knack for performing at a very young age, pleading
with his Mother to allow him to audition for a community theater
production of "NORA'S ARK".
While attending high school in Prospect Heights, a suburb of Chicago,
Viruet landed the leading role of "Douglas Spaulding" in the
Steppenwolf Theater Company's production of Ray Bradbury's "DANDELION
WINE". He went on to appear in many theatrical productions including
Lysander in "A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM", "Diesel" in "WEST SIDE STORY",
and most notably, winning accolades for his starring performance in the
title role of "PIPPIN".
"PITCH PERFECT" marks Michael's Feature Film debut. In it, he plays
"Unicycle", a member of an A'cappella singing group that is unbeatable
in competition.
