Miguel attended the Portuguese Higher Institute for Media (Escola Superior de Comunicação Social) studying audio-visual and multimedia and where he wrote and directed 15 short films. The latest of these, "Overacting" (2012) was later adapted into a limited series of 5 episodes under that name, which was purchased and aired on the TV network SIC Radical in 2013.
In 2014 Miguel joined the cultural association ARTE À PARTE, where he co-founded and coordinated the project COMICALATE, a new online fiction platform in which he produce, wrote, directed or acted in 10 web series, among which "Bon Vivant", "Couples" and "What's in the Box?".
The COMICALATE platform sold three series in 2019 to a division of the Portuguese public television service (RTP), RTP Play, having overseen the production of all and directed the series "Bad & Breakfast".
Miguel joined the TODOS Creative Hub in 2020, where he directed two episodes of the series "Peixe Fora D'Água", for RTP 2.
Between 2021 and 2022, in Fred Fabrik, he developed the project SCROLL for RTP 2, as director and producer, a tv show dedicated to the Gen Z, which had three seasons.
