Josh Widdicombe's BBC sitcom pilot proved funny enough to be granted a full series.
The popular stand-up comic will lead the cast of Josh, following a successful Comedy Feed pilot online in 2014. The six-part series will air on BBC Three in November.
Co-written by Widdicombe and Tom Craine, it will be directed by frequent Steve Coogan collaborator David Schneider, and also stars Beattie Edmondson, Ellis James and Jack Dee.
Centred around grumpy and single Josh and his two flatmates Kate and Owen, his life is plagued with crappy situations such as a rubbish pool party and being played by his high school crush.
Jack Dee plays their bizarre landlord who inserts himself into their lives as much as possible, whether they want him there or not.
There will also be a host of celebrity cameos throughout the series, including Jennifer Saunders, Romesh Ranganathan, James Acaster and... The Chuckle Brothers!

Here’s the latest from the BBC on the 50th anniversary special trailer, a blurry image from the special, and more…
Those of you who’ve seen the BBC’s latest Original Drama trailer will have noticed a distinct lack of Doctor Who therein (not a lack of Doctors we should say, seeing as both David Tennant and Peter Capaldi were featured in their non-Time Lord capacity). That’s hardly a surprise, as when the fiftieth anniversary special trailer eventually arrives, we can’t see it being squeezed in next to a raft of other programming.
When, though, will it arrive?
One fan, @thetimelord_ took a direct route to finding out by asking the BBC the following on Twitter on Saturday the 31st of August, “@BBCOne are you ever going to give us the 50th anniversary trailer?”. Here’s what the official BBC One...

BBC Three is planning to air a show celebrating 50 years of Doctor Who.
The digital station is thought to be putting together a "greatest moments"-style programme, with comments from fans of the series.
Comedian Tom Craine revealed that he would be taking part in the special on his official website earlier today (August 30).
"Delighted that I'll be appearing as a guest on a forthcoming BBC3 show celebrating 50 years of Doctor Who," he posted.
"Wouldn't put it past me to have a few stern words to say about the Daleks."
Other events taking place to mark the British sci-fi show's milestone include a takeover of London's Heathrow Airport and a celebratory weekend convention at the city's ExCeL exhibition centre.
