Trey was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. At the age of 15,
Trey auditioned and was 1 of 15 students state-wide accepted into the
prestigious South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and
Humanities 2 year residential high school pre-professional actor
training program. He went on to study musical theatre at Coastal
Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, SC. During his four years, he
received 6 Irene Ryan Acting Nominations from the Kennedy Center
American College Theater Festival. After graduation he completed 2
acting internships and moved to New York City.
During Trey's audition for the SC Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities 5 week summer program, he was advised to consider the high school training program. He told the faculty that he wasn't interested because he wanted to do musical theatre. They gave him their card and told him to think on it.
Was training to be a Blue Man in "Blue Man Group" when he booked the NBC pilot, "Next Caller.".
Trey has been an Assistant on several Broadway National Tours including The Drowsy Chaperone, Beauty and the Beast, Les Miserables - 25th Anniversary Tour, and Billy Elliot: The Musical.
