Nicole Patriarca was born in Bellflower, California, where, at a very
young age, developed an obsession with telling stories. From writing to
filmmaking, her main goal was always to draw a reaction from an
audience.
In 2009, she attended The Art Institute of Philadelphia to hone her
technical skills, which never fully developed. There, she met
colleagues who continuously worked with her to translate her stories
onto film. A couple of years into her studies, a short she had written
and directed named Stockholm (2011) came into development. This opened
the window for more shorts to be written/directed, ranging from comedy
to horror.
As of now, she has assisted in productions such as Silver Linings
Playbook (2012) and sketches for CollegeHumor.
