Tatsuki Fujimoto has always had an eye for talent, such could be easily seen with his former editors Tatsuya Endo and Yuji Kaku. Both of them now stand big in the world of shonen manga with Spy x Family and Hell’s Paradise. The former has already been ruling the hearts of the fans while the latter made its way to the top three of the dark shonen trio. Alongside Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man stands Kaku’s Hell’s Paradise.

Each and every author has their own unique story when finding their calling for getting into their professions. From Akira Toriyama to Gege Akutami, everyone finds their calling with time. Yuji Kaku already had an interest in mangas when growing up. However, it was the genre that surprised many.

This article contains spoilers for Parasyte: The Grey.
One of the latest Netflix original series to come out of South Korea is the science fiction thriller Parasyte: The Grey. Blending body horror and conspiracy-tinged action, Parasyte debuted to strong streaming numbers worldwide after premiering in April. Across the first season’s six episodes, there were plenty of harrowing and heartbreaking twists and turns along the way as a small group of specialists move to stop an all-out extraterrestrial invasion of Earth.
Here is what you need to know about Parasyte: The Grey, what happens in its pulse-pounding finale, and how the episode connects directly with its literary source material to set up a potential second season.

Netflix Korean drama series, Parasyte: The Grey is an official adaptation of the Hitoshi Iwaaki’s manga series. Most people associate with this fandom because of the anime Parasyte: The Maxim, which aired in 2014. Many fans, like myself, were prepared to be disappointed by the Netflix adaptation, but then it surprised all of us and decided to come up with an original narrative instead. The plot in this live-action adaptation is based in South Korea and has its own characters. But quite obviously, there are parallels that the series draws as well. Moreover, the events of the Netflix’s Korean drama are set in the same universe as the anime. The events of the series may even run parallel to the events of the anime. In this article, we’ll be going through some of the differences that the Netflix adaptation has made from the anime.

The Netflix series Parasyte: The Grey, is finally out; to be honest, I was nervous before I started watching it. Be it Netflix or any other production house, they have been notorious for botching live-action adaptations, but again, Netflix gave us One Piece. Based on the manga Parasyte, this series presents itself as a spinoff from the original story set in Japan. This series presents an original story set in South Korea, rather than a half-boiled imitation of the manga. Quite obviously, the Netflix adaptation draws its parallel but then sticks to its own narrative. Even though I wouldn’t call Parasyte: The Grey a work of art, despite its shortcomings and the cringe-screenplay at times, it is entertaining nonetheless. One of the key aspects this adaptation did not miss was the depiction of the existentialist themes the manga had portrayed.

The concept of a hostile alien parasite bonding with a human host and eventually proceeding to live in a symbiotic relationship with them, ignoring its baser violent instincts, is rather familiar to the majority of pop culture fanatics thanks to the popularity of Marvel’s famous anti-hero, Venom. However, during the late 1980s, when the character made its first appearance in comics, a Japanese counterpart of the same concept was taking shape through Hitoshi Iwaaki’s manga Parasyte. Bringing in visceral elements of body horror and classic Ukiyo-e supernatural art together, the mangaka fleshed out the concept further than its more popular American counterpart, delving deep into questioning identity conflict, the extent of human morality, empathy and their hypocritical nature, and the true essence of life itself.

The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen has been an intense journey, filled with plenty of action, but above all, a lot of personal tragedy for its protagonist, Yuji Itadori. This Halloween season, you may turn to the classics like “A Nightmare on Elm Street” or even “Hocus Pocus.”
But if your desire is to be scared, startled or completely spooked out, we present some horror anime options. Anime can take thrills, twists and gore to a level that live-action can’t.
Adding to all the witches, ghosts, killer pumpkins and vampires — yes, this list includes vampires — there’s also kid-sized crimefighting detectives, demon slayers and some man-eating giants.
Here’s a list of 13 anime series and films you should check out this spooky season.

“Tokyo Ghoul” will take you into a dark, shadowy, gloomy world that illuminates its creepy characters with crisp artwork and vibrant colors. Beware, there’s lots of gore and unsettling storylines, but that all works for the Halloween season, right?

In the second episode of My Happy Marriage, we witnessed Kudo’s sincere efforts to mend his rude behavior towards Miyo. He wanted to give her a chance to prove that her intentions weren’t focused on his wealth but rather on marrying him because of her genuine affection for him. Unfortunately, Miyo seemed unable to perceive these positive signals, believing that her fate was only filled with misfortune. However, a significant revelation emerged when Miyo disclosed the magical abilities possessed by all the members of the Saimori family, except herself. As a result, she had been somewhat ostracized from the family due to her lack of supernatural powers. This episode offers nothing new and continues with Miyo continuously apologizing, much to Kudo’s growing irritation.

Unlike many of his Japanese filmmaking peers such as Yasujirō Ozu and Masaki Kobayashi, Akira Kurosawa often adapted Western literature in his films. That said, he was always sure to give them a Japanese reframing. He remade "Macbeth," "Hamlet," and "King Lear" as "Throne of Blood," "The Bad Sleep Well," and "Ran," respectively. However, "Throne" and "Ran" traded medieval Scotland/England for Feudal Japan while "The Bad Sleep Well" was about the 20th-century Japanese corporate world, not the Danish monarchy.
While Kurosawa was a student of Shakespeare, he didn't only trade in high-end literature. For "High and Low," he adapted the pulp detective novel "King's Ransom," moving the setting from Manhattan to Yokohama.
National Shoes executive Kingo Gondo (Toshiro Mifune) is disgusted by his colleagues' greed and apathy. He plans a leveraged buyout of the company, putting his life savings on the line. Unfortunately for Gondo, a kidnapper picks the...
