Writer, filmmaker and civil rights activist, Jim Carrier has written 11 books, made four films, been published in the National Geographic and NY Times, and contributed a million words to newspapers and magazines. His most famous role was as "The Rocky Mountain Ranger" for the Denver Post. In 13 years he drove 500,000 miles, saw 7,665 sunsets and wore out 87 pairs of Levis. His Denver Post work included "Letters from Yellowstone," "Down the Colorado, "In Search of the Marlboro Man," "West of the Divide," and "Boom - The Atomic Legacy of the West." He later produced multimedia projects for the Southern Poverty Law Center, including "Ten Ways to Fight Hate," and "Faces in the Water," the story of civil rights martyrs. He has roamed by Jeep through the American West and by sailboat across the Atlantic and Mediterranean.
