Breaking news: Superman isn't always in it "for the craft." Henry Cavill is in promotion mode for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" and he shared some interesting details in a couple of new interviews.
He's on the new cover of Man of the World, and here's his stand on the "fantastic" money you can make as an actor (via JustJared):
"I'm slightly wary of saying this, because it can be frowned upon, certainly by members of my community and people outside my community...but I'm not just doing this for the art. The money's fantastic and that's something which I deem—and again, it is frowned upon—very important. [...]
You've got to enjoy life! I mean, you've got to! When I'm making money I'm spending it on nice stuff, whether that be lavish holidays for me and my friends or just seeing something and going in a shop and saying,...

Henry Cavill doesn't want to be ogled. The Batman v Superman star told the U.K.'s Sunday Times that he thinks there's a "double standard" when it comes to flirtation. "I mean, if a girl shouts something like, 'Oi, love, fancy a shag?' to me as I walk past, I do sometimes wonder how she'd feel if a builder said that to her," Cavill told the newspaper. "Although, of course, I wouldn't feel physically threatened, as she might." While Cavill, 32, isn't necessarily shy about showing off his good looks, the actor said that he doesn't like it when...

Superman has found his kryptonite. Henry Cavill says that despite being 13 years his girlfriend's senior, he couldn't contain his nerves when he first met college student Tara King. "When I met my girlfriend, I was super intimidated. I wanted to impress her," the Batman v Superman star tells Elle magazine. "I was thinking, Don't mess this up, man." The 32-year-old, who claimed he's "loyal to a fault," said he understands that his relationship with the 19-year-old might turn some heads - what he calls a "natural reaction." "People say age is just a number. It's actually real and true sign of someone's maturity,...

There are certain British shows that are remembered so fondly that the fear of nostalgia kicks in and you think they can’t possibly be as good as you remember them. I’ll admit when I started watching The Avengers: The Complete Series 6 on Blu-ray I had that fear… Gladly I had nothing to worry about.
In Series 6 we see the final episode of Diana Rigg as Emma Peel, and the introduction of Tara King (Linda Thorson). In some of the craziest episodes we see Vaudeville assassins (with a guest role by John Cleese), a Prisoner parody, invisible men and all other kinds of strange assassins all gunning for Steed (Patrick Macnee) and his partner in crime.
While there is no doubt that Diana Rigg’s Emma Peel was an excellent sidekick for Steed, I have to admit that Tara King has always been my favourite. There was a...

While actor Colin Firth wows audiences as a British secret agent in "Kingsman: The Secret Service", there is talk of him taking on the role of British agent 'John Steed' in the developing feature "Steed and Mrs. Peel", rebooting the "Avengers" 1960's Brit spy TV series, that has spun-off into comic books, novels and radio dramas:
The original TV series, airing from 1961 to 1969, partnered Steed, a secret agent working for an unnamed branch of British intelligence, with a succession of assistants including 'Cathy Gale', 'Emma Peel' and 'Tara King', with later episodes incorporating elements of science fiction, fantasy, parody and more 'British eccentricity'.
A scion of a noble family, Steed attended 'Eton' where he once got into a fight with the school bully 'James Bond', and was eventually expelled. He was a distinguished veteran of World War II, training with the 'Coldstream Guards', then transferring to the 'Intelligence Corps'.

A satisfying reinvigoration of Tove Jansson’s children’s classic has John Patterson reminiscing about his childhood, and an early classroom crush
Tove Jansson’s Finn Family Moomintroll was the first book that made me want to read on my own. In 1971, I was seven and my form teacher at All Saints Primary School, Miss Jones, would read it to the class at the end of each school day. I was enraptured by it all: Moomin Valley, Moomintroll and Sniff, Snufkin and his pipe and mouth organ, the cantankerous botanist called the Hemulen, the Hobgoblin’s magical hat, and what happened when the Muskrat absent-mindedly dropped his false teeth into it.
I loved Miss Jones. She was youngish with big henna’d hair, wore black zip-up knee boots and a flashy leather raincoat, and zipped around in a little convertible Mg looking like Tara King, the forgotten Avengers girl between Mrs Peel and Purdey.

Alex pays a fond return revisit to 1960s classic TV series, The Avengers...
Stylish crime fighting, despicable evil masterminds, a bowler-hatted old Etonian gentleman spy and a series of beautiful leather cat-suited, kinky-booted, no-nonsense heroines. The Avengers had all this and more. What began as a monochrome tape series in January 1961 ran the whole of the Sixties, becoming a colourful slice of period hokum, full of flair, wit and sophistication, yet with its tongue firmly in its cheek.
Always the perfect gentleman, John Steed was played by Patrick Macnee. Originally billed second to the late Ian Hendry, Macnee was still playing Steed over 15 years later when he was teamed with the youthful duo of Joanna Lumley and Gareth Hunt for The New Avengers in 1976. In the 1998 film, the role of Steed was given to Ralph Fiennes and Uma Thurman played Emma Peel. I will say no more about the film.

Rarely do things run smoothly for the "Rookie Blue" cops -- even their own nuptials.
Noelle (Melanie Nicholls-King) and Frank's (Lyriq Bent) wedding wasn't exactly like clockwork in Thursday's (Aug. 8) episode of the ABC drama, "For Better, For Worse." Even with the ceremony taking place that evening, much remained in flux, prompting Andy (Missy Peregrym) to try to take the organizational lead.
Meanwhile, claiming she was getting "lying hives," Chloe (Priscilla Faia) begged Dov (Gregory Smith) to tell Frank -- her godfather and their boss -- about their off-duty relationship. It wouldn't be an easy day for Chloe in another way; she was partnered with angry-as-usual Gail (Charlotte Sullivan), whom Chloe had informed about the crush that Gail's now-ex-boyfriend Nick (Peter Mooney) had on Andy.
Andy and Nick also were partners for the day, with Andy starting it by crooning along to Extreme's "More Than Words" -- the tune she...
