The choice of music in a TV show is a significant factor.
A well-conceptualized opening sequence accompanied by a great song can be more memorable than the TV show itself.
We have compiled 20 excellent opening theme songs to which one cannot help but move their body. And if they don't, their mind does the work for them.
20. I Don't Wanna Wait by Paula Cole on Dawson's Creek
The song marries well with the show's theme about a bunch of teens trying to figure life out. They don't wait for life to pass them by.
The opening sequence has the cast being playful and carefree in places around their town as Paula sings the lyrics.
You watch it several times and soon feel like part of the group.
It is easily one of the most recognizable opening songs ever.
19. Luck You Got by The HighStrung on Shameless (US)

With Battle Rounds for Season 15 of NBC’s The Voice now in full swing, the decisions are getting tougher as the teams whittle down to their strongest competitors.
Monday night’s episode featured a double shot of battles between talented young females, with the judges forced into choosing one but dropping the other, despite their better judgment. The sweet-singing pair of 13-year-old Reagan Strange and 16-year-old Emily Hough was a prime example, with the Team Adam Levine counterparts taking on Ed Sheeran’s sensitive “Photograph.”

During Monday’s episode of “The Voice” Season 15, Jennifer Hudson paired up soul singers Franc West and Matt Johnson in a battle to Alex Clare‘s “Too Close.” She had a tough time choosing between them both, but ultimately decided to go with Franc because “the show is called ‘The Voice.'” Did Jennifer make the right decision by saving Franc, or should she have chosen to keep Matt instead? Watch NBC’s “The Voice” battle video above and read the coaches’ comments below.
SEEReagan Strange’s ‘The Voice’ battle against Emily Hough was like a ‘cuddle fight,’ laughs Adam Levine [Watch]
After the other three coaches — Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine — had their say, it was Jennifer’s turn to address her two talented artists. “Matt, you’re a character. You just want it and it’s enjoyable to watch,” she declared. “Franc, you have the swag and your voice is very distinctive.

Battle rounds continue for Season 15 of “The Voice” on Monday for Night 3. Not too many contestants were eliminated in the first two nights last week, which brings up a major question: why are the coaches using up all of their steals so soon? Each coach only has two steals during this round, and some of them certainly seemed a waste at such an early stage.
Reigning coaching winner Kelly Clarkson has returned for her second season this autumn. She is a past “American Idol” champ, the reality TV show which also introduced its fans to Jennifer Hudson, later on. She is also back for a second time, although she skipped last spring’s competition. The other two coaches have been with “The Voice” since the very beginning: six-time coaching winner Blake Shelton and three-time champ Adam Levine?

Heading into Week 6 of Fox’s “The Four,” the incumbent chair-holders were 29-year-old Ali Caldwell, 21-year-old James Graham, 34-year-old Sharaya J and 26-year-old Noah Barlass. Noah just joined the panel last week after eliminating fan favorite Jesse Kramer, who’d been with the show since Week 2. Did any of these four artists get taken out by new challengers? And what advice did judges/coaches Meghan Trainor, Sean Combs and DJ Khaled give to the artists this week on the reality TV show?

American Idol’s final four contestants – Jena Irene, Caleb Johnson, Jess Meuse and Alex Preston – each sang three songs Wednesday evening. All of the Idol hopefuls had to sing a breakup, makeup and a dedication number for the chance to crack into the top three.
American Idol Recap
Caleb Johnson was first up and sang Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love a Bad Name.” Though it wasn’t as innovative as when Blake Lewis beat boxed it a few seasons ago, Johnson’s take on the song was still unique and deserving of praise from the judges. Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez were particularly complimentary of his rock presence on stage.
Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Travelin Band” served as Johnson’s dedication song. It was a song that Lopez described as being in the rocker’s “wheelhouse.” Most surprising was Johnson’s choice to dramatically slow down the ending.

Has Jessica Meuse seriously become our "American Idol" frontrunner? After last week's "No" votes sent Sam Woolf home, both Jena Irene and Alex Preston had some fickle fans grumbling about their lack of solidarity. Then Caleb Johnson had to go and give an idiotic interview calling his Twitter kinda-fans "retards." Sigh. Jessica had the only clean week! Click through for some Love-themed recapping! 8:03 p.m. Et. The show begins with a brief recap of last week's drama. 8:03 p.m. I want Alex Preston to advance, because next week is Home Visits and I want him to return to the high school where I used to substitute teach. Jennifer Lopez is very pink for tonight's Jennifer Lopez Fashion Show. 8:05 p.m. Ryan is scruffy. And they're doing Three songs apiece tonight. 8:06 p.m. Yikes. That was some of the worst judge-and-host banter in "Idol" history, right down...

As a veteran of 2006′s Rock Star: Supernova, Josh Logan knows better than any of his current Voice counterparts what national TV exposure can do for the career prospects of a working musician — and how important it is to capitalize on said momentum.
“After Rock Star, I was definitely doing more high profile gigs. I was playing in Iceland. I was playing in Canada. And I was making a hell of a lot more money than before,” Logan recalls. “The problem was, I really didn’t move as quickly as I should have. I dropped the ball.”

It’s good to be The Voice right now.
While its direct competitor The X Factor flops around like a fish on a dock, and grand dame American Idol searches for a bucket to bail out the gallons of water left by Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj’s tiresome infighting, NBC’s reality singing competition is gliding through the water like a brainier Ryan Lochte (minus the “Jeah!”-ing and the water-logged docuseries).
There’s the record 15.3 million viewers for its June 2013 finale. There’s Sunday night’s Emmy win as Best Reality-Competition Series. And best of all, there’s tonight’s Season 5 premiere,...

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger — and that’s something Garrett Gardner knows without any help from Kelly Clarkson’s soaring radio hit. The 17-year-old New Jersey native got rejected during The Voice‘s Season 3 Blind Auditions, but that just spurred him to worker harder at honing his craft.

With just one more week before the live playoffs in Season 4 of "The Voice," it's time for the knockout rounds, wherein coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Shakira and Usher once again force one of their artists to compete another, deciding who stays and who goes. Who will make it to the live shows? Only time will tell.
First Knockout: Team Adam - Amber Carrington vs. Midas Whale
Songs: "I'm With You" - Avril Lavigne (Amber); "Higher Ground" - Stevie Wonder (Midas Whale)
Performances: Amber sounds incredible on Avril's overused and, at times, tepid track. It's nice to hear her step outside of the country zone we've heard her in thus far. I hadn't been too fond of Midas Whale prior to this, finding them to play more the role of backup artists in their battle rounds. It was nice to have them put down the guitars and put on a show.

For a show that’s all about good vibrations and international warm fuzzies, The Voice can sometimes be a frustrating mistress.
Take, for example, the Season 4 Knockout Rounds, where Adam Levine and Shakira all too often pitted their best singers against each other in sudden-death faceoffs, while allowing lesser vocalists to slip into the live voting rounds like mold on the underside of a package of blackberries. (Yeah, I know, that metaphor didn’t quite work, but at three bucks a container, you’d think those juicy little treats would last more than 24 hours in the fridge. Sheesh!)

At the end of a Saturday interview with Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire of Major Lazer during the second weekend of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, I mentioned my upcoming conversation with 2 Chainz, scheduled for later in afternoon.
Diplo's eyes lit up: "Tell him to come on stage and perform with us."
In 2 Chainz' smoke-filled tour bus about an hour later, I casually brought up Diplo's request. The interview, which was slowly wrapping up, ended abruptly: 2 Chainz took out his phone and immediately called Diplo. When the call went to voicemail, 2 Chainz asked me to reach out to my contact in Diplo's camp. I did, and eventually Diplo's people spoke to 2 Chainz people -- all while a freshly baked Chainz frantically listened to "Bubblebutt" and tried to re-memorize his lines.
Thirty minutes later, Jillionaire and Diplo were telling a crowd of rabid festival goers that...
