Nicolas Cage plays a retired Caribbean beach bum-turned-assassin in the trailer for The Retirement Plan, an action comedy thriller from writer/director Tim Brown and Falling Forward Films that’s set to hit theaters on Aug. 25.

All three features will shoot in the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean under a broad agreement with the Cayman Islands Film Commission, the Cayman’s ministry of international trade, investment, aviation and maritime affairs, and strrategic partner Dart Enterprises to shoot four films in the country.
This is the first time the Cayman Islands has entered into a multi-production deal as it seeks to grow its film industry. The territory adopts strict Covid-19 protocols.

Shoot is underway in Ontario on drama Born To Be Blue starring Ethan Hawke as iconic jazz trumpeter Chet Baker.
Written and directed by Robert Budreau (That Beautiful Somewhere) the biopic will chart Baker’s tumultuous career, including his meteoric rise and road to redemption after his self-destructive instincts almost derail him.
Carmen Ejogo (The Purge: Anarchy) and Callum Keith Rennie (Fifty Shades of Grey) co-star.
K5 will introduce the project to buyers at the Afm. eOne has boarded Canadian rights.
Producers are Jennifer Jonas and Leonard Farlinger of New Real Films, Budreau of Lumanity Productions and Jake Seal of Black Hangar Studios.
