Nina Thomas is a French-Spanish Documentary and Commercial Editor/Director based in Barcelona and with ties both in New York City and Paris.
Graduated in 2012 in Film/Sound Editing in Barcelona, and in 2015 in Documentary Filmmaking from NYFA, she has worked on commercials and branded content pieces for clients such as Toyota, Astier de Villatte, Hotels.com, ShopBop, Smartwater or Tequila Don Julio. Some of her work has been featured in VICE, GQ Magazine, Condé Nast Traveler, Esquire and Vogue.
In the Documentary realm her work has ranged between environmental and social justice films. Since 2017 she has edited (as well as produced and written) the short doc Love From Afar, presented at Yale University in 2018, and the feature film The Art of Ostad, which premiered at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In 2020 she finished editing the acclaimed feature doc UMA: A Water Crisis in Bolivia. In 2019 she made her directorial debut with the music video My Lover, I Don't Need You for which she was awarded Best Director at the 2020 Austin Under the Stars Film Festival. The same year she started directing her first documentary feature film "Tiny Apple."
