Turbo Kid: Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release Turbo Kid on Blu-ray in the U.K. on October 5th. Turbo Kid stars Munro Chambers, Laurence Leboeuf, Michael Ironside, Edwin Wright, and Aaron Jeffery.
From Blu-ray.com: "Synopsis: Turbo Kid is a celebration of all things that were awesome about the age of movies on VHS. It's packed with nods to 1980s pop culture (even down to Atari-style credits and its synth-tastic score) and riffs on the kids' adventure movies such as BMX Bandits, The Monster Squad, and The Goonies.

Extinction
Written by Miguel Ángel Vivas and Alberto Marini
Directed by Miguel Ángel Vivas
Spain/Hungary, 2015
Some films just can’t stick to their strengths. There are some good jump scares inside Extinction, the post-apocalyptic zombie film from Spanish director Miguel Ángel Vivas, adapted from a novel by his countrymen Juan de Dios Garduño, but Vivas (who co-wrote the script with Alberto Marini) is too keen to turn his film into a melodrama to focus on the fright. The result is a plodding zombie drama with too much tonal inconsistency to succeed as either a character study or a terrifying gorefest.
In fact, a majority of the scares are in the prelude, which at least serves the function of getting Extinction off to a promising start. In a frenetic sequences dominated by handheld shots and dizzyingly quick cuts, Vivas gives the audience a hint of the world which defines his...

I figured if most zombie movies are going to repeat themselves I might do so as well - the genre, such as it is, is pretty tired. More so than other subgenres of the horror field, things are usually grand and epic shoot-em-ups (replacing the Western's traditional, unreflected-upon slaughter of Native Americans with the mowing down of the hordes of undead), tonge-in-cheek comedies, or attempts to do something new and interesting with the shtick. In fairness to Extinction, writer/director Miguel Ángel Vivas (2010's Kidnapped) is at least attempting something unique. Along with writers Alberto Marini, and based on a book by Juan de Dios Garduño, the concept takes a siege film, a family drama, an outbreak scare, and a film about self-sacrifice, and mashes it...

The post-apocalyptic film site Quiet Earth has released several stills for Miguel Angel Vivas' Extinction. This film was shot in Spain. And, Extinction stars Matthew Fox and Claro Lago. Set in a zombie apocalypse, two survivors do their best to survive in an inhospitable, snowy landscape. The stills, hosted below, show some of the characters and settings. The story was developed from Juan de Dios Garduño's novel. Titled Y Pese a Todo (Despite All), the novel takes place after a viral infection. Savage humanoids lurk on the land. And, a trio of survivors struggle onwards, in the small town of Harmony. Now, the town is being infiltrated and Patrick (Fox) must find a way to keep the hordes at bay. This title is already completed. The film is expected to release in Spain, later this year. Sony Pictures Worldwide will handle distribution. More on the film is listed below.

Four years ago we brought news of an adaption of Juan De Dios Garduño’s best-selling novel "Y Pese A Todo", w hich was then called Welcome to Harmony. The film has since undergone a title change to the much more conventional "Extinction" and some assets have been found including a poster and a few images of star Mathew Fox (Lost) in a big beard.

I’m always happy to see a post-apocalyptic horror movie around the corner ready to scare my socks off. I’m even happier when I see some of my favorite actors set to star, and these two lined up for Welcome to Harmony are a couple of my favorites.
Matthew Fox (Lost) and Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice) are set for leads according to The Wrap and will be the English language debut of director Miguel Angel Vivas (Kidnapped). The movie is based on Juan de Dios Garduño’s bestselling book, Y pese a todo. Here’s the cover and awkwardly translated synopsis from the book, but you’ll get the picture.
Located in confrontation, and the devastation that produce nuclear weapons, the rivals decide to use chemical, cheaper and easier to manufacture weapons. New strains of existing viruses are created using recombinant DNA and thus extinguished almost the entire world population.
