Robin Parks Simpson was born May 18th, 1982 in San Diego California. She
was an active Musician in the Award Winning Mission Bay Dixie Jazz band
and Director of the School Theater 2 years running. She Graduated High
school in 2000 and went on to Studied Music and Theater at San Diego
Mesa College.
Robin worked the next 10 years part time for the San Diego Lifeguard Service along with the family woodworking business until 2009, at which point she dedicated her full attention to film making. Robin made a series of online Documentaries, Tutorials, and Music Videos for local San Diego Artists.
After being encouraged by peers to peruse a more professional career in Cinema Robin enrolled in the Saddle Back Film Studies program at Saddle Back college. Here she got her first real taste for high end digital cinema with RED cameras. She wrote and Directed a slew of short films through film school further exploring her unique and creative film styles.
Robin moved to Los Angeles in the Spring of 2014 in pursuit of a professional career as an independent film maker. Robin co-writes many projects with her brother Garland Simpson.
In 2019 Robin moved back to San Diego to pursue further development of Independent projects. In 2020 she began working on an Independent film about Surfing Culture, set for a 2024 release.
