Epic Pictures have released a trailer and poster for director Patrick White’s supernatural horror Queen of Spades – which stars Ava Preston, Daniel Kash, Kaelen Ohm, Eric Osborne, Jamie Bloch, Nabil Rajo, and Krista Marchand – and is based on a Russian take on the same mythos as Candyman.
The film, whose same story was told in the 2018 direct to DVD film Queen of Spades: Dark Rite, follows four teenagers that summon an ominous entity as a joke, not knowing what horrors lie ahead for them and their loved ones when the evil they’ve unleashed will stop at nothing to take their souls.

"Queen of Spades, show yourself..." Epic Pictures Group has debuted an official trailer for an indie horror film called Queen of Spades, made by Canadian filmmaker Patrick White. The film is about the "ancient legend" of the Queen of Spades, who can supposedly be provoked by drawing a door and a staircase on a mirror, in darkness, and saying her name three times. An ominous entity known as the Queen of Spades can be called upon with this ancient ritual. Four teenagers decide to try it out and end up summoning the Queen of Spades, but they could never imagine the horrors that await them... She won't stop until she gets their souls. Of course not! She always needs more souls. The film stars Ava Preston, Daniel Kash, Kaelen Ohm, Eric Osborne, Jamie Bloch, Nabil Rajo, with Krista Marchand as the "Queen of Spades". This looks like a derivative mash-up...

"I can't wait to show you..." Shudder has released an official red band trailer for the indie horror thriller titled Random Acts of Violence, the second feature film directed by Canadian actor-turned-filmmaker Jay Baruchel (his debut was the hockey sequel Goon: Last of the Enforcers from a few years ago). This first premiered at Fantastic Fest in Austin last year, and it will be available on Shudder later this summer to watch. This brutal horror is about a comic book creator who starts to notice that a real killer is using his "Slasherman" comic as inspiration for actual murder. Starring Jesse Williams, Jordana Brewster, Jay Baruchel, Niamh Wilson, Simon Northwood, Victoria Snow, Eric Osborne, and Nia Roam. This trailer has some crazy gore at the end, it looks like a slasher film wrapped around a story about pop culture and how you can't control it once it's out in public.

The unusual title wasn’t the only reason I have been interested in watching Pyewacket for a while now. Everything I have read about the movie on social media, from people I trust the opinion of, has been positive, so I was very much looking forward to it.
The best horror movies, in fact the best movies, create characters and relationships that you care about, relate to and want to watch unfold. Pyewacket does all of this. The main relationship is between Leah, played by Nicole Munoz, and her mother, played by Laurie Holden. Like many mother/daughter relationships it is a very love/hate one. After the death of their father and husband, both women are dealing with the situation in different ways. Leah is listening to angry...

"Pyewacket can take many forms, don't trust your lying eye." IFC Midnight has released an official trailer for a horror thriller titled Pyewacket, which first premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year. Made by Canadian filmmaker Adam MacDonald (Backcountry), the occult nightmare film is about a girl who puts a curse on her mother for fun, but it suddenly becomes all too real as an evil presence known as Pyewacket begins to make itself known, tormenting both of them. Nicole Muñoz (seen in Tooth Fairy, "Defiance") stars, along with Laurie Holden, Chloe Rose, Eric Osborne, and Romeo Carere. This looks like your standard occult punk rock horror, with a few cool touches but nothing special. It's described as "a complex mother-daughter tale and a frightening fable about our darkest desires." If you're a horror fan, take a peek. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Adam MacDonald's Pyewacket, direct from...

The Degrassi franchise has built a reputation for longevity over the course of its run, as the series focusing on the trials and tribulations of students and teachers at the fictional Degrassi school first began in 1979 with The Kids of Degrassi Street. The latest incarnation of the series, titled Degrassi: The Next Generation, has been running since 2001, and has been the starting and breakout show for numerous current stars, including rapper Drake, The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev, and former 90210 star Shenae Grimes.
TeenNick, however, the show’s Us broadcaster, recently announced the cancellation of the series, bringing it to a close after 14 seasons, and signalling the apparent end of the Degrassi franchise once again. The show’s final season is poised to begin on July 20th and be comprised of 12 episodes, coming to an end on July 31st.

Now, before you race to the nearest Tower vendor to upgrade your Sparrow, it’s worth noting that introducing a racing mini-game is just one of many ideas that the studio is contemplating in order to ensure players aren’t short of content.
Speaking with GameSpot, here’s what Osborne had to say on the possibility of bringing a racing mode into Destiny:
“It’s definitely an idea that has come up at the studio. And there are dozens and dozens and dozens of cool ideas. Part of the process of sustaining Destiny is figuring out what’s the most bang for the buck, what’s...
