Former U.S. Army military police major Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) will be coming back for another edge-of-your-seat season of Reacher.
After shoving the head of security and all-things-evil, Shane Langston (Robert Patrick), out of a moving aircraft for killing members of his unit in Season 2, Reacher is all set for more vigilante justice.
News of the muscular hero's return came almost immediately following the finale of Season 2 when Ritchson took to Twitter/X with the announcement. One can only imagine who will be on the receiving end of Reacher's fist.
The Amazon Prime Video action crime streaming TV series was a big hit after it debuted on February 4, 2022, where Reacher finds himself in the town of Margrave, Georgia.
With the help of two police officers, Roscoe Conklin and Oscar Finlay, Reacher sets out to investigate local corruption.

[This story contains spoilers from the finale of Reacher‘s second season.]
Viewers of Reacher have now had one week to decompress, perhaps rewind, and think about how archvillain Shane Langston (Robert Patrick) finally got his in the season two finale.
After saving love interest Karla Dixon (Serinda Swan) from dropping mid-air out of a helicopter, Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) — while strapped to a gurney and with a knife stuck in his arm — goes to retrieve Langston and deliver him the same fate that had been handed to many of our series hero’s friends: being thrown out of a flying aircraft.
The scene was rewarding to viewers of Prime Video’s action-packed hit series. And it turns out that scene was also one of the highlights for Reacher showrunner Nick Santora. Santora doesn’t make light of how much he is a fan of both author Lee Child’s books (the source material for the series) and his lead actor, Ritchson.

This post contains spoilers for "Reacher" season 2
Season 1 of Prime Video's "Reacher" was a big hit for the streamer, topping the Nielsen streaming charts back in 2022. Now, with the arrival of season 2, Jack Reacher has triumphed once again. Not only has he overcome Robert Patrick's insidious Shane Langston in an explosive season finale, but he's once again garnered enough ratings to hit the number 2 spot on the Nielsen charts for the show's first week of release (Nielsen releases their stats a lot later than you'd think).
This all suggests that Prime Video has a reliable hit on its hands with "Reacher." Prior to the show's debut, two Tom Cruise-starring films came and went, upsetting fans of Lee Child's Jack Reacher novels in the process who felt that Cruise's diminutive stature wasn't quite the embodiment of Child's hulking ex-Military Police officer. But "Reacher" introduced the 6-ft 3-inch,...

Corrupt bureaucracy, depraved cops, greedy business tycoons, and degenerate celebs are as recurrent in Reacher’s lore as one would generally expect from crime thrillers and mostly serve to set up conflicts or act as catalysts in the flow of the narrative. Among these varied dregs of society, crooked politicians seem to have a knack of getting in Reacher’s way more often. Perhaps Reacher’s anti-authoritarian stance acts as a magnet to draw out the rot in the system, which was highlighted in the first season with Mayor Teale of Margrave, whose partnership with the shrewd business magnate Kliner drained the suburb from within. In the second season, matching the higher stakes of the narrative, Reacher faces another hurdle in the form of Senator Malcolm Levoy. Initially an accessory in Reacher’s investigation, Levoy’s involvement with the central crisis of the Littlewing conspiracy runs deep and continues until the very end.

This post contains spoilers for Season 2 of "Reacher."
The penultimate episode of "Reacher" season 2 ends on a cliffhanger, where Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) makes an impossible choice: he walks straight into the lion's den to save his dear friends. Things haven't been rosy for Reacher and his pals since the new season's inception, as the catalyst for the group banding together was the death of their mutual friend, Calvin Franz (Luke Bilyk), who served alongside them in the 110th Special Investigations Unit.
At the end of season 1, we see Reacher leaving Margrave to continue his wandering lifestyle, but the nature of this new case forces him to contend with his self-inflicted loneliness and tendency to keep people at bay. With his friends' lives on the line, Reacher must completely embrace his maverick spirit and throw a comically evil dude out of a helicopter to avenge his dead friends. One of the defining features of Lee Child’s Reacher novel series is its seemingly disconnected and self-contained nature, as a significant number of the titular protagonist’s adventures take him through totally different situations and experiences without bothering readers about continuity. The makers of Amazon Prime’s TV series of the same name adhered to this principle, which is how, after adapting Child’s first entry of the series, Killing Floor, in the first season, they jumped directly to the eleventh book of the series, Bad Luck and Troubles, to build upon the second one. As an introductory chapter, the first season of Reacher revolved around the exploitation of small-town resources by a greedy conglomerate and was relatively low-key in stakes, with a personal angle introduced through the death of Jack’s brother, Joe Reacher. In comparison, the second season aimed bigger, and along with a national-scale terrorism threat...

Laying all the cards on the table before a showdown proves detrimental without exception, irrespective of the context of discussion, and as we approach the finale of the second season of Amazon Prime’s Reacher, we are reminded of the fact once again. So far, the season had built momentum for the inevitable confrontation between Reacher and his current adversaries, represented by the calculative, methodical A.M. and the brutal, despicable Langston, but it was delayed too much, and unsurprisingly, a rushed ending couldn’t pack that strong a punch.
In this season so far, Reacher’s past life in the army became the fulcrum of the narrative as members and friends of his former special investigation unit started getting hunted down by Shane Langston, the chief of security of the aerospace company New Age Tech. 110th unit special investigators, Franz, Sanchez, and Orozco, were brutally tortured and killed by Langston,...

At this point, it's fair to say "Reacher" season 2 is a dramatic improvement on the first. Not only does the new season feel so much bigger than its predecessor (which was hampered somewhat by pandemic-imposed restrictions), the story is much more engaging than the small-town conspiracy Alan Ritchson's hero thwarted last time around. Part of that is down to the legend that is Robert Patrick, who brings a specific kind of seedy menace to the role of antagonist Shane Langston, paying homage to his classic James Cameron villain, the T-1000, in the process. But the camaraderie between Reacher and his former Army unit, the Special Investigators, makes for a more compelling watch, too.
That said, there's no doubt fans of the show will be missing the rag-tag group from season 1. When Jack Reacher first hit Prime Video in 2022, he arrived in the small town of Margrave,...

This post contains spoilers for "Reacher" season 2, episode 7.
Jack Reacher has never been one to abide by the rules. In Lee Child's "Persuader," the seventh novel in the "Jack Reacher" series, Reacher goes out of his way to work for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to crack down on a trafficker, deliberately breaking a handful of official rules just to do the right thing. This kernel of dogged perseverance has always been an integral part of Reacher's personality in every iteration of his character, and "Reacher" season 2 continues this tradition by allowing him to break the rules yet again.
In "Reacher" season 2's seventh and penultimate episode, Reacher and his team — his colleagues at the 110th Special Investigations Unit years ago — are backed against the wall thanks to the machinations of Shane Langston (Robert Patrick) and the elusive A.M. This post contains spoilers for episode 6 of "Reacher" season 2.
A sinister conspiracy is unraveling in the latest season of "Reacher," where the titular ex-Special Investigations officer (played by Alan Ritchson) and his old colleagues are in a race against time when it comes to stopping a deadly terrorist plan. Things are further complicated when Reacher and Neagley (Maria Sten) witness a building explode after a contract killer confesses that Tony Swan (Shannon Kook) hired him to kill members of Reacher's team. As Swan was close to everyone in Reacher's 110th Special Investigations Unit from years ago, this revelation impacts Reacher and co. emotionally, especially considering Swan's apparent involvement in the dangerous missile program, Project Littlewing.
Episode 6, titled "New York's Finest," rapidly moves towards dissecting the Swan problem after Reacher and his team interrogate Marlo Burns (Christina Cox), the Director of Operations at New Age, who is currently on the run.

After setting up the season’s central crisis through the first three episodes, Amazon Prime’s Reacher gradually establishes causality through a connection between the actions and objectives of the antagonists, letting viewers connect enough dots to figure out the big picture in the process. The previous episodes concerned Reacher learning about the systematic, brutal killings of his friends, members of the 110th unit of special investigators, and running his own investigation by taking the surviving members—Neagley, O’Donnell, and Dixon—along with him. NYPD Detective Russo, who is acting as the chief investigator of the case, briefly locks horns with Reacher but eventually agrees to help through a mutual information exchange. Eventually, the team learns about the involvement of the aerospace company New Age Technology in the murder mystery, and unbeknownst to them, the company’s chief of security, Shane Langston, is revealed to be responsible for the deaths of their comrades.

Exclusive: Reacher Season 2 has been crowned No. 1 at Amazon.
The first three episodes of the second season debuted on December 15 and quickly resonated with audiences. In fact, those episodes surpassed the entire Season 1 audience by 50% in the first three days on the streamer.
Reacher is now the No. 1 title of the year for Prime Video in terms of total viewers across all series and films globally. Currently, the series is available in more than 180 countries.
Season 1 already seemed like a home run for Amazon, racking up 1.84B minutes viewed across all eight episodes in the U.S. (which were released all at once) during its premiere weekend in March 2022, according to Nielsen streaming data. Since Nielsen only measures domestically, that wouldn’t give an indication of how the series is performing internationally.

This post contains spoilers for episode one of "Reacher" season 2.
After a long wait, Alan Ritchson's Reacher is finally back for more punching-bad-guys-really-hard in the face action. This time, there's one particular bad guy who is surely heading for one of the most epic "Reacher" beatings yet.
Prior to the second season's debut, it was announced that Robert Patrick had replaced Rory Cochrane in the role of Shane Langston, a former NYPD detective who now heads up security for a private defense contractor. While Langston doesn't appear in "Bad Luck and Trouble," the book on which "Reacher" season 2 is based, he seems to be a version of the character Allen Lamaison, an ex-LAPD officer who, in the novel, became the director of the defense contractor New Age. Either way, it's obvious from the inaugural episode of season 2 that Langston has something to do with the insidious plot to...

This post contains spoilers for the first three episodes of "Reacher" season 2.
After leaving Margrave behind at the end of season one, Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) has decided to continue his isolated, wandering existence in the show's latest season. Frequenting pawn shops to get a change of clothing periodically, Reacher is more than happy to squat in abandoned warehouses and beat up the bad guys during the day, making sure to never leave a trace behind, or linger. However, this equilibrium is shattered when he gets an emergency-coded message from Frances Neagley (Maria Sten), who informs him that their mutual friend from the 110th Special Investigations Unit, Calvin Franz (Luke Bilyk), has been murdered.
Deciding to look into the case together, Reacher and Neagley hunt for clues to decipher the mystery behind Franz's gruesome death and come to the conclusion that all the members of the 110th are being targeted for some reason.

Prime Video teased some big announcements during the Ccxp fan event in São Paulo, Brazil, and we're grinning from ear-to-ear with what we got.
We'll start with one of the most significant announcements.
The Boys Season 4 has a trailer. After the end of Gen V Season 1, we've been dying to know what would become of some of our favorite characters.
Of course, we will have plenty of lingering questions from The Boys Season 3 to be answered.
The highly-anticipated footage introduced Jeffrey Dean Morgan into The Boys universe.
Prime Video is keeping details about his character under wraps, but the footage certainly gives us some indication of what he's like.
He seemingly knows who Butcher is, but he doesn't know the show's name -- or the group he may or may not be about to work with.
"Your team, what's your code name again?" Morgan's character says.

It's been a long time coming, but Amazon is finally gearing up to unleash Alan Ritchson's Jack Reacher once again. "Reacher" season 2 is set to debut in December 2023, and now we've got our first official trailer for the new season. Much like the previous run of episodes, this installment will evidently see Ritchson's bulky former military man blowing a lot of things up, hitting a lot of bad guys, and generally being the brooding, taciturn, and wholly unstoppable force that he was last time around.
So far, our only glimpses of "Reacher" season 2 have come via behind-the-scenes social videos from the show's stars and an Amazon Prime Video sizzle reel that promised the new season would arrive by the end of 2023. But now, we've been gifted a full preview for the new episodes, which will see Reacher hunting down those responsible for killing off members of his former Army...

Gear up for a new season of Amazon’s breakout action hit Reacher, which is based on the popular novels by Lee Child that served as the basis for Tom Cruise’s attempted franchise, Jack Reacher. Although Cruise’s film adaptation was able to capitalize with the sequel, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, Prime Video’s Reacher series aimed to stick closer to the novels and presents a new case for each season. For example, major characters from season one, like Roscoe and Oscar Finlay, will not play prominent roles in this season. Prime Video has just released the teaser for tomorrow’s premiere for the trailer to season 2 of the Alan Ritchson-starring drama.
According to ScreenRant, “Reacher season 2 will be based on Child’s book Bad Luck and Trouble, the 11th book in the ongoing series. In the book, Reacher is contacted by someone from his former military unit,...

Since Amazon's "Reacher" proved a big hit on Prime Video, star Alan Ritchson has made no secret of his love for the source material. Lee Child has written 28 Jack Reacher books which have enjoyed massive popularity, leading to two Tom Cruise-starring movies back in 2012 and 2016. Unfortunately, fans weren't all that impressed with Cruise's stature, which just didn't convey the quiet power readers associated with Child's 6-ft 5-inch hero. And so, after 2016's "Jack Reacher: Never Go Back," Child decided to rethink how his books were being adapted, which ultimately led to the streaming series that topped the Nielsen streaming chart on its debut and introduced audiences to a much more fitting on-screen representation of the protagonist.

"Reacher" was a huge hit for Prime Video, breaking streaming records and finally giving Jack Reacher the on-screen treatment fans demanded. Naturally, "Reacher" season 2 is highly anticipated, and now there's even more reason to look forward to the show's return. As Deadline reports, veteran actor Robert Patrick joined the cast of the show before production wrapped in February, taking over a "major role" from Rory Cochrane.
Season 2 of the wildly popular series is based on Lee Child's 11th Jack Reacher book, "Bad Luck and Trouble," and it seems Patrick was brought in to play the role of Shane Langston, an ex-NYPD cop who now runs security for a private defense contractor. Cochrane reportedly left the production at the end of last year due to a "scheduling conflict" after the "Reacher" shooting schedule changed, clearing the way for Patrick — best known for his portrayal of the T-1000 in "Terminator 2: Judgment Day...

Exclusive: Robert Patrick is playing a major role opposite lead Alan Ritchson in the upcoming second season of Prime Video’s Reacher. He took over the series regular role of Shane Langston from Rory Cochrane, who was originally cast in September before exiting at the end of last year due to scheduling conflict as the production schedule changed, Deadline has learned. He had not filmed any scenes, so the recasting did not require reshoots, I hear. Production on Season 2 of Reacher wrapped in late February.
Langston is a streetwise former NYPD detective with a questionable track record who is now head of security for a private defense contractor.
From writer and showrunner Nick Santora, based on the novels by Lee Child, the series follows Jack Reacher (Ritchson), a veteran military police investigator who has just recently entered civilian life.
