María Alejandra Guerrero Rocca began her career as a Human Rights Lawyer, later on she decided to pursue a career in films which began in the Documentary titled "Dudamel: Let The Children Play (2010)" starring with acclaimed L.A Philharmonic Conductor Gustavo Dudamel while she was studying at IESA (Venezuela) in order to obtain a Master's degree in Business Administration. Afterwards, she studied Film Production at the New York Film Academy (NYFA) and Entertainment and Media Management in the University of California (UCLA).
She was in charge of the Executive Production with the Cesar Award Winner and Golden Globes Award nominated Actor Edgar Ramírez of the feature film "Libertador" (2015) World Premiere and Official Selection in Toronto Film Fest (TIFF), Morelia International Film Fest (FICM), Los Angeles Film Fest (LAFF), Palm Spring International Film Fest, nominated for The Platino Awards For Ibero-American Cinema, Winner for The Golden Reel Awards and Selected in the Shortlist for the 87th Academy Award of Motion Pictures Arts and Science (Oscars) in the category Best Foreign Picture. She also Co-Directed and produced "Vamos (2015)" Documentary selected by Guadalajara International Film Fest Lab (2013) and winner of Ibero-American Film Festival (2019).
Maria is a Co-Creator from Serious Ladies, a screenwriters label who have focused their writing as a force for social change, with emphasis on the representation of women's voices and stories. Maria is currently producing two feature films and developing four television series in her own content studio company Godart Studio.
