- Allan was born and raised in Raleigh, NC by Tom and Gwen Cox. Living on the outer edge of suburbia, he grew a love for the outdoors and music. A gifted vocalist, his father helped him find singing and eventually music. From a young age Allan had an obvious want and talent for playing the drums. This took him into the world of the recording arts. He attended William G. Enloe High School, a gifted and talented magnet school, where their audio program grew a new found passion. During this time he also became an accomplished swimmer on a national level. College came and Savannah College of Art and Design(SCAD) was a perfect fit. He received a scholarship and went into the sound design department in the school of film and television. Completing his BFA in sound design he went on to coach the SCAD swim team for several years. His passion for coaching, and the discovery of a natural talent at snowboarding, lead him to finding a new outlet from swimming. He spends his winters teaching and coaching snowboarding as a short break from the industry.
Allan has worked not only as a coach for both swimming and snowboarding but as an AV tech for Duke University, salesman, sound engineer, production assistant, and background casting.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Allan Cox
