Lara Golan

Lara Golan is a pianist, ukulele player, songwriter and composer. She received her masters degree in music composition from Northwestern University and her compositional work includes solo and chamber concert pieces, a musical for the operatic comedy group, Forte Chicago, songwriting, video games, commercials, podcasts, theater productions and documentary and feature films. Her first theatrical score (Dr. Egg and the Man With No Ear, produced by Redmoon Theater) was nominated for a Jeff Award for Best Original Incidental Music in 2009. Lara's natural inclinations lead her to write music that is somewhat dark, surreal and playful, but she enjoys composing in a wide variety of styles.
