- Khagendra Lamichhane is the most celebrated theater personality of his generation - he has earned respect and fame as a writer, actor and director of stage and radio plays, and is a popular cinematic actor. His stage plays like the one-man show Peeda-Geet and plays like Hajurbuwako Katha, Paani Photo, Atalbahadur ko Aatanka and Daant ko Dob have been staged in a number of national and international theatre festivals and are considered modern classics of Nepali theater. He has extensive experience as a producer and writer of radio plays for BBC Media Action, where he was a senior drama writer and editor for the long-running popular radio show Katha Mitho Sarangi ko. His plays from the production have won two international awards.
Lamichhane frequently writes the screenplays for his own movies, which include critically and commercially successful ventures like Talakjung vs Tulkey, Pashupati Prasad, Dhanapati and Damaru ko Dandibiyo. He has also published Fulani, a collection of short stories, and Paani Photo and Katha Natak, two collections of plays.
