Katherine Jackson has started the process to legally resign as Blanket's guardian. Back in Sept. 2012, Katherine and Tj Jackson were appointed co-guardians of the late Michael Jackson's three children. Prince Jackson and Paris Jackson are now over 18, while Blanket (real name Prince Michael Jackson II) is still only 15. In court documents filed by Katherine's attorneys and obtained by E! News, it's stated that Katherine is "no longer needed to fulfill the duties" that were needed back in 2012. The documents also say that given Katherine's age, 87, and that Blanket is now 15, she "feels that Tj is able to assume all necessary responsibilities of the...

This drama about a trio of African-American women doing maths wonders for Nasa has few subtleties, but is done with such verve it’s hard to dislike
Taraji P Henson, Octavia Spencer and Janelle Monáe are Katherine Jackson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson, a trio of Nasa scientists who each played their part in sending astronaut John Glenn (the first American to orbit the Earth) into space in 1962. These three are fun, fast-talking and fabulously coiffed (thanks to costume designer Renee Ehrlich Kalfus). They’re also African American women, which perhaps explains why this nugget of history has remained untold until now. Sure, some of it feels a little obvious, but with its “based on a true story” title card, cartoon palette and bouncy Pharrell (co)-penned soundtrack, this splashy, feelgood period piece is every bit as enjoyable as a best picture Oscar-nominated blockbuster could hope to be.

Katherine Jackson, the late Michael Jackson's mother, was granted a restraining order on Wednesday against her nephew-in-law, Trent Lamar Jackson, after alleging that he's been emotionally abusing her for years.
Court papers obtained by Et allege that Trent -- who's related to 86-year-old Katherine through her husband Joe's side of the family -- was employed as her driver, but over time "infiltrated [her] business and personal affairs." Trent, 52, is alleged to have screened all her phone calls, not allowing privacy during visits, phone calls, and getting information on her bank accounts by "conning" bank employees that he was her authorized representative.
