Despite comparatively low numbers, the freshman installment of the The Terror TV show did pretty well for an AMC series that isn't a part of The Walking Dead or Breaking Bad franchises. Now that it's back for a second season as The Terror: Infamy, with a new storyline, can it build up its audience and become a mainstay for the cable network? Will The Terror be cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned. *Status Update Below.

"It's about what human relationships are... and how far someone will go for love." When the trailer for this film first debuted, I was surprised to discover another sci-fi film was dropping this year. Swan Song is about a dying man who decides to let a clone take over his life, but it's not an easy choice. The film (and this video) explores the implications that come with that choice. Apple TV has debuted this featurette for Swan Song to promote its release on the streaming service. Set in the near future, Cameron Turner is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Presented with an experimental solution to shield his wife and son from grief, he grapples with altering their fate in this sci-fi drama. The always wonderful Mahershala Ali stars as Cameron, with Naomie Harris as his wife Poppy, plus Glenn Close, Awkwafina, Adam Beach, Lee Shorten, Dax Rey, Nyasha Hatendi,...

"So he has everything?" "Even the memories you store deep in your subconscious." Apple TV has unveiled a trailer for an intriguing upcoming film titled Swan Song, the feature directorial debut of Irish filmmaker Benjamin Cleary already acclaimed for his short films. Not to be confused with the excellent Udo Kier film also titled Swan Song released earlier this year (why do they have to have the same title!). Set in the near future, Cameron Turner is diagnosed with a terminal illness. Presented with an experimental solution to shield his wife and son from grief, he grapples with altering their fate in this exploration of love, loss, and sacrifice. It seems to involve creating a clone, sans disease, with all his memories copied over. Mahershala Ali stars as Cameron, with Naomie Harris as his wife Poppy, plus Glenn Close, Awkwafina, Adam Beach, Lee Shorten, Dax Rey, Nyasha Hatendi, and JayR Tinaco.

Exclusive: Remember when people saw podcasts as “novel”? Now, they have grown into a form of entertainment that is on the level of film and TV. That said, there are feature-length podcasts and Lee Shorten is starring in one. He has joined the cast of Shipworm, the first feature-length dramatic podcast from Two-Up Productions.
Written by Zack Akers and directed by Akers & Skip Bronkie, Shipworm is a psychological thriller following Wallace Conway (Quentin Earl Darrington), who wakes up to find he’s been implanted with an untraceable earpiece while sleeping. So long as he does everything the voice on the other end tells him, he and his family will live. Shorten has been cast in the role of Lin in Shipworm, which will drop April 26.
Shipworm is the fourth podcast from Two-Up, the studio known for breaking ground in fiction (Limetown), musical...

Stars: Meagan Good, Dennis Quaid, Michael Ealy, Erica Cerra, Joseph Sikora, Alvina August, Debs Howard, Lili Sepe, Lee Shorten, Carolyn Anderson, Caroline Muthoni Muita, Kurt Evans | Written by David Loughery | Directed by Deon Taylor
The Intruder, directed by Deon Taylor, is the latest conventional haunted house thriller tale that has a big bark but no bite. Denis Quaid stars as Charlie Peck, who sells his property to Annie and Scott Russell, played by Meagan Good and Michael Ealy, and slowly becomes obsessed with the couple. Begins to blur the lines of a psychopath and friendly neighbour.
Taylor’s recent effort had firm hopes to impress with a haunting trailer that wonderfully captured the dread and terror that such a thriller film should provoke. It is a rather tragic set of events that proceed the Sony logo, however, as the next one hundred and fifteen-minutes result in in a dull and often disastrous stifled thriller,...

"Your days of dropping by are over." Quaid gone mad! Screen Gems has debuted the second & final official trailer for the thriller The Intruder, opening in theaters next week - in case you need something else to go see aside from Avengers: Endgame for the fifth time. The "psychological thriller" is about a young married couple that buys a beautiful Napa Valley house, only to discover that the man they bought it from refuses to let go of and leave the property. The Intruder co-stars Michael Ealy and Meagan Good as the couple, with a full cast including Dennis Quaid, Joseph Sikora, Alvina August, Lili Sepe, and Lee Shorten. This looks pretty dang creepy, mostly due to that seriously deranged smile and evil twinkle in Quaid's eyes. Here's the second & final trailer (+ UK poster) for Deon Taylor's The Intruder, from Sony's YouTube: You can still watch the...

"Stay away from my wife." Screen Gems has debuted the first trailer for another home horror thriller titled The Intruder, a movie being released in late April next year. Sony seems to be positioning this as counter-programming to Marvel's Avengers 4 when it opens at the end of April as well. The "psychological thriller" is about a young married couple who buys a beautiful Napa Valley house on several acres of land only to find that the man they bought it from refuses to let go of and leave the property. The Intruder co-stars Michael Ealy and Meagan Good as the couple, with a full cast including Dennis Quaid, Joseph Sikora, Alvina August, Lili Sepe, and Lee Shorten. It looks like Quaid is really going on all out the creepiness in this. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Deon Taylor's The Intruder, direct from Sony's YouTube: When...
