All good things must come to an end, and for the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, what better way to go out than with a massive party?
More than two weeks since the opening ceremony officially kicked off the PyeongChang Winter Games, the country once again celebrated the athletes who put everything on the line. The closing event — like the opening ceremony — was also South Korea’s opportunity to once again show off its diverse art and culture for the world, and give everyone a final taste of Olympic glory until the 2020 Games in Tokyo.

Jessie Diggins and Kikkan Randall made history on Wednesday when they became the first American women to win Olympic gold medals in cross-country skiing. And if there’s one thing better than winning gold at an Olympic Games, it’s doing it with one of your closest friends.

David Wise‘s 3-year-old son Malachi and 6-year-old daughter Nayeli both take after their adventurous father.
“Both of my kids are pretty crazy. They like to jump off things and do flips and break things,” the Olympic freestyle skier told People during a Celeb Parents Get Real segment, admitting Malachi is “exactly like how I was as a child.”
“His nickname is Bruiser because he’s constantly just throwing things,” explains Wise, 27, who won a gold medal in the Sochi games four years ago during the first-ever ski half-pipe event.

As a mom, Kikkan Randall has had to let go of the notion of perfection.
“As a parent, you always think you have everything dialed, and then something comes in and you just end up with this complete chaotic mess. You’re just trying to manage and stuff is falling and the kid is squirming,” the Olympic cross-country skier tells People’s Celeb Parents Get Real.
“It’s just been really humbling to be a parent and realize things are just messy and that’s okay,” adds Randall, 35, who is mom to 21-month-old son Breck Stuart.
